Belong Lifestyle Denim Dress

Hi Foxy Friends. Guess what? I'm collaborating with Belong Lifestyle and they named a dress after me! It's called the Sarah California Dreaming Denim Dress. I have seriously been looking for the perfect denim dress for the LONGEST TIME. I think I have tried to buy no less than 8 denim dresses, and all of them have gone back. This one is PERFECT! I love that it has the tie waist that you can cinch to give it a little structure.

The Perfect Wine Sweater

Hello Foxy Friends! I feel like I am almost finally getting out of the vacation blues...granted I've been back at work for 1.5 weeks...I still feel like I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. But worry not I have the most fantastic outfit for you. It's something I made! Yep you read that right, I made this sweatshirt, and it's the most comfortable thing you've ever worn. Okay correction. I put the graphic on it, I did not actually make the sweater shape. I'm not that good.

I finally found a leopard flat replacement for the ones I have worn down to the ground! Rather I rubbed off all of the leopard on the toe, oops! Took me a couple of years, but I finally found a good replacement and they are comfy!

Similar jeans can be found here.

I'm just too excited not to share, I might have to make one in a short sleeve version so I can wear it come Spring.

I mean how awesome is this?

I made one for myself and then loved it so much that I made it for my friends too.

Seriously I wear this all the time. Sometimes I forget I have it on and wonder, why are people staring at me when I got out, then realize, oh yea, they are reading my sweater, and probably thinking...how can I get one too?! hahah.

I already have a list of other shirts that I want to make, why buy a graphic shirt/sweatshirt when you can make them yourself! Any graphic shirts I need to know about to make? I'm on a roll here!

7 Fall Outfits

I've mentioned this a few times, but this month I am participating in the Common Threads Challenge, where we pick 5 things from our closet and then each day have to use one of those 5 things and pick our outfit around that. So here is day 11 through 17.

Day 11

I worked from home on this day, and admittedly wore some workout pants and this pink t-shirt. I had to take the kids to get their shots, so I threw on some pants, flip flops and called it a day. No make up, I don't even think I brushed my hair, oops!

Day 15

I wore this outfit again and forgot to take a picture again. It was 90° out, and we went to the pumpkin patch and then headed to the pool to enjoy the sunshine...One day I'll document this outfit...it's really the only warm weather outfit I can do, considering everything else I picked is for cold weather, oops!

This might be my favorite outfit of the week. I totally wouldn't have put this together without this challenge. Even though blazers and dresses aren't a new thing.

Olive Pants and a Moto Jacket

Hello Foxy Friends! This month the ladies over at The Blended Blog are hosting a series called Fashion Files, where we find some inspiration and then recreate that look. This week I was randomly looking around Pinterst to find some inspiration and found this outfit. I thought, I have everything for this outfit in my closet. So here she is, I image her being in France, walking across the street to get some coffee.

By purchasing through Foxy's Domestic Side, you're helping me to continue creating fun things for this space.

Here is my version, not quite as stylish, but hey it works for me...yep using that same jacket as last week. I can't get enough of it I guess. For some reason I couldn't narrow the pictures down this week, so you get all of them.

That hair on my forehead, arg. Don't you hate when that happens, so annoying.

Op, there it is again, why won't you go away?!

Hey look, my eyes, just for a brief second.

Thank you Mr. for letting me steal your sunglasses for this post. And when I say steal, I really mean commandeer because I haven't given them back. I think they look better on me anyway. If you look closely in my sunglasses you can see my tripod set up and a pool. Every time I set it up I think...please don't fall into the pool with the camera...I have fallen in the pool while doing outfit posts...man clothes weigh a lot.

Hey there are my eyes again.

I decided to do my hair in a casual ponytail thing, like the model. I'm fairly certain she spent a lot of time getting her pony to look so effortless...mine looked like a hot mess, but what are you going to do? Continue to take outfit pictures and hope for the best.

I took this one because the model isn't smiling either, but then thought, naw that isn't me.

So I took this one immediately after...much better.

Just in case you can't remember my full eyes, here there are.

Outside My Comfort Zone

Happy Wednesday Foxy Friends! Another week of A New Year Styled, it's a new year and I'm trying to put together something outside of my comfort zone. For whatever reason I have never really been a layering girl. I will put a tank top under, but I've never really done the two shirts thing. and I have to say I really liked it. Although I do need a longer chambray shirt, anyone have any suggestions? As I was getting underdressed that night, Baby Fox was taking a bath as I was changing and he said...wait, you have two shirts on?! How did you do that?!

I just love this Ted Baker White Watch. I have been looking for a walk white watch for years now! Most of the ones that I saw were big and chunky...because that was what was in style. I was out Christmas shopping and was at Nordstrom shoppoing for someone else when I saw this watch, I immediately tried it on and loved it. Then contemplated for a good while whether or not to get it, but decided I could return it if I didn't want it, I knew if I didn't get it I would regret it, especially since I have been wanting a white watch for years!

My really good friend owns this shop called BEXO, which stands for “be xtraordinary”, she wants everyone to be a person that lives into their purpose and vision, and anyone is capable of achieving what they want in life. Keeping this meaning in mind, each jewelry design inspires her and other individuals to “be xtraordinary”. I just love that statement. She is the kindest, best person ever, I hope you go give her site a gander and shop around. The necklace I am wearing is the Moonstone Gem Collection, I think it adds a slight daintiness that nothing I own does.

On a side note, my shoes are almost 3 years old and they are past their prime...you know when shoes used to be SO comfortable and then suddenly their not? Yeah that is me with these shoes. I keep trying to wear them, but at the end of the day my feet are killing me. Time to find a new pair. Now it's your turn, link up your outfits below!

Fall Challenge - Week 2

Hello all! 2nd week of the Style Challenge*, and I'm back with 7 more outfits. Well 5 plus 2 outfits that I would have worn had I had the chance. So let's get to it. Here are the outfits at a glance.

Let's break it down:

Day 3

I'm absolutely loving this outfit, but it's just a bit too hot to wear right now, but hey a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do, outfits must be put together! I actually followed the outfit formula, unlike Day 1 and 2.  But I will definitely be pulling this one out come colder weather.

Day 4

Love this outfit too! Can we talk about these jeans? I got them during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, so they are no longer available but these* and these* are very similar. They are the most comfortable jeans! They don't pinch at the waist and are the softest jean material ever! I would wear them everyday if that was socially acceptable. I would however, order a size down. I ordered my size and a few hours later I'm finding that I'm hiking up my jeans.

I only have two blazer, one is black and the other one is bright blue, but neither one really worked with this outfit, so I decided to switch it up to my pink leather jacket that I got from Wilson's Leather at the Camarillo Outlet Mall a few years ago. If you can go to a Wilson's Leather at an outlet great deals! I think I bought this jacket for $40!

This little lady wanted to jump in the picture...okay that's a lie she was trying to photo bomb and I scooped her up and tried to get her to take a picture with me. I have a feeling this is what our family photos are going to be like in a couple of weeks, lots of bribery!

Day 5

Loving this* white button down that I bought. Seriously if you have been looking for a white button down look no further! This shirt is worth every single penny, it's a little more than I would normally spend, but it's so soft and doesn't feel still like other buttons downs. I actually want to wear this, instead of just wearing something just to wear it.

I didn't follow the outfit formula again. I don't have a gray cable knit sweater yet, not sure if I am going to get one since I would probably rarely wear it over this white shirt, too hot! But that could be the 100° weather talking, come back in a few months.

So instead of adding the sweater over it, I just added this scarf. I really love the plaid in this scarf, and for the life of me can't remember where I got it.

Day 6

I ordered some olive jeans* (super comfy and on sale for $24.99! The olive color in person is much darker than online), but they hadn't come in the mail yet, so I subbed out for my Camo Jeans. Loving this outfit and will definitely repeat as it gets colder. If you don't have a pair of wedge booties, you have to get a pair! These were from Target a while back and were really reasonable. One day I'll buy the Toms version, but for now, my knockoffs will do.

Day 7

I absolutely love this plaid dress*. When Alison told us a plaid dress would be involved I wasn't sure if I was going to get one. I know that I'm not a red plaid dress girl, but found this black and white one and it's right up my ally.

Not totally sure if I can get away with the length, definitely not with the kids around, but for sure a great night out with the girls or the hubby.

Day 8

This is when I didn't have time to take pictures with the outfits on. So I put together a picture of what I would have worn. I'm actually surprised, I'm not sure I would have paired the olive jeans with that polka dot sweat, but I think it looks great! Apparently the olive jeans like to photograph a little lighter than they are in person, or maybe I need to get my eyes checked, either way this outfit looks great!

In case you were wondering, the outfit formula called for an orange sweater, which I don't have, I've been subbing in this polka dot one and it seems to be working with all of the outfit choices so far.

Day 9

Again I didn't have time to take a photo of this outfit, but I am LOVING my new burgundy jeans (which of course they don't have in stock any more), they are super soft and I can't wait to wear them.

I did sub out the riding boots for these flats, since most likely I wouldn't have worn my riding boots with them. I'm not sure why, but in my head it just didn't make sense. The outfit calls for the grey cable sweater over it, to me that makes more sense to wear the riding boots, but with just the button down, I didn't think so.

There you have it, 7 more outfits brought to you by Alison! Which was your favorite?
