The Blended Blog: Day In the Life Blog Hop

Welcome! My first ever Day in the Life Post. I've always meant to do one of these, but never did it for some reason. I always love reading other people's DITL, so why not?! The ladies at The Blended Blog and I decided that we wanted to do a DITL, but thought it would be fun if we all documented the same day, seeing what everyone else was doing on the same day. After you read mine, follow along the hop and see what everyone else was up to.

7:50am: I wake up the first time, realize it's only 7:50am and roll back over to catch a few more zzzzzzz.....

8:10am: Baby Fox wakes up and asks to go use the restroom...actually it's more like a "I HAVE TO GO PEEE!!!" (screamed through his closed door, and then waits for us to say okay go ahead....seriously we've tried so many times to tell him to just go, and he won't...2am..."I HAVE TO GO PEE!!" scares the living daylights out of me...every time! I digress...)

8:12am: Baby Fox goes back to his room, no time to get up yet.

8:30am: Mr. gets up to go ride his bike

Not taken that morning...
8:42am: I get up, use restroom and brush teeth.

8:46am: I go get Baby Fox up, and then we go get Mini Fox up (our clock is 10 minutes off)

He's ready for the day!

First she wants her back rubbed....then...

She said she wanted me inside her crib with her...and Baby Fox wanted to take our picture...

9:02am: I make the kids breakfast while they watch Tangled

Mini Fox requested "I want eggs and cheese on top of toast, peeeaazz"

Baby Fox requested "I want oatmeal with toast in strips please" And I added part of a left over    apple pancake from earlier in the week.

10:01am: Breakfast clean up (yes it takes them almost 45 minutes to eat breakfast...)

10:10am: Get the kids ready for the day. Baby Fox likes to pick out his own clothes.

Mini Fox wants her hair like Elsa...who am I to say no?

10:38am: Leave for Baby Fox's hair cut (long over due)

10:50am: Arrive and Baby Fox gets his hair cut

11:40am: I drop off the kids and Mr. at home and get to go on errands by myself! The original plan was I take Mini Fox and Mr. goes back with Baby Fox to watch Star Wars. Mini Fox objected to that plan and wanted to stay with the boys.

Mr. took some pictures for me so I could include what they did while I was away...so cute.

Meanwhile I got to go to several stores...mostly I was trying to think up of a Valentine's Day Craft for the blog/ to give to Baby Fox's school friends. I came up with a Juice Box Robot

So excited, errands by myself, totally unexpected!!!!

First stop was Walmart, which I bought the juice boxes, but forgot to take a picture. Next stop was Hobby Lobby, I was looking for some baskets to replace the ones we have in our family room and maybe find some Valentine's Day inspiration. I found neither.

Then I had the bright idea of stopping at Party City, I thought that maybe they're cheap candy section would have some stuff for my robot...

1:32pm: I take Mini Fox to my parents so she can take her nap and spend the rest of the evening there

2:00pm: Spa day with a friend! It was so nice to catch up with her and relax for a bit.

The door leading into  the Spa, obviously I couldn't take any pictures inside
3:30pm: Leave spa to go pick up Baby Fox for his first sleep over!

3:50pm: Pick up Baby Fox and Mr. and head over to friends house to spend the night.

Seriously he jumps out of the car and yells, by while waving backwards...like we weren't going to walk him in..silly kid.

Off and playing...

4:15pm: We're FREEEEE!!!! We head back to the house to get ready for our date!

5:30pm: Leave to go out...

6:30pm: The two restaurants we wanted to eat at have 3 hour wait times! Oops, didn't realize it would be so packed on a Saturday...

6:50pm: We are at a local brewery place.

8:00pm: We pick up Mini Fox from my parents, she had a blast at the church spaghetti dinner

They put these blankets up when people are moving in or out of the complex my parents live in.

She loves riding the cart

8:35pm: We are home and put Mini Fox down for the night

8:45pm: Sit down to watch a movie with Mr. - We watched Room, I read the book and it was very true to the book. I liked it, perhaps too serious for a date night, but whatever, Mr. said I could pick what I wanted.

And that my friends is my day on January 23rd! It was super fun to participate in this blog hop with the other Blended Blog ladies, I can't wait to see what they were doing on the same day as me. Now go hop into Nicole's day and she what she did.

Hair Challenge 2016 Link Up #5

Another Wednesday, I can't believe we are on week 5 of the Hair Challenge! I did a few new hair styles, and even sort of made one up on my own, go me!

I was trying to create this braid...I had seen other videos braid three strands and then hold onto one strand and push the other two up strands up...but her way is way easier, going to try that one next week. Obviously this was a fail and I took it out immediately. Actually I was practicing before bed to see what I was going to do in the morning...yikes! That was not it!

Here are the ones that actually worked. Thursday to work I did a rope twist braid, simple and gets my hair out of my face for work.

Friday I had the day off, so I actually had time to do my hair...yep did a fancy updo/prom do for a regular Friday of preschool drop off and pick up, along with going to Disneyland. I got this from Mindy from Cute Girls Hairstyles, isn't that where I get most of my styles?

Saturday I did the same thing as above, but a braid version. I forgot to take a picture...oops. I actually tried something else, and Mr. said, nope that doesn't look good, too many fly aways. I think it would have been a cool hair style if there wasn't so many fly aways...I'll get more on that later...

Sunday it was rainy and I had errands and dirty hair. I love the fullness of it. Wish I had gotten a better picture. Darn, next time!

Monday to work I did this. I was running late and needed something quick and easy.

I basically took two sides of my hair and tied it with a hair tie and then flipped it inside out a few times to create the twist.

Yesterday I worked from home and had to get to PT and had dirty hair, so I needed to put it up. I wanted to do something fun, but ran out of time and did this in about 3 minutes. I tried the upside down French braid, but it did it too loose, so next time I'll make it a little tighter, I only ended up bringing in two sides of hair, which makes for a small braid. By the time I put it in the pony tail and loosened it up, it almost disappeared. I did like how it kept all of the lose hairs from under the pony tail swept up.

If you look very closely you can see the French braid a little bit.

Back to my fly away issue, which you can see here in that messy-ish bun up there. I'm on a mission to find the right products for fly aways and styling in general. I watch all of these hair tutorials online and you know what's missing? The products they used BEFORE they styles. None of them have fly aways...what?! Is it just me noticing this? I might be slightly sensitive to it. Anyway...Here's my first round of products.

Let's break it down...I'll start with the KMS. I sort of have no idea what any of this stuff does, but have heard it mentioned here and there, so thought I would give it a try.

I did buy these with my own money, but linked products are affiliates and I will receive a small commission if you click on it. Thank you for your support!

Show And Tell Tuesday - How to Win My Heart

Morning! Working from home today so it's a good day! I have my last appointment for my ankle, at least I think it's my last, not sure. I'll find out at 1:45.

Today I'm linking with Andrea for a show and Tell Tuesday. Today's topic is how to win our hearts, specifically our partners.

Last month we had a some friends over and we were talking about our Love Language. Even the guys got in on this and we all took the test. Mr. got Physical Touch...and I got Acts of Service. Which is so true. Back when Mr. and I were first dating, things that made my heart go pitter patter was the way he was so attentive to everything I said. He remembered EVERYTHING I said...even if it was just an off hand comment, he would remember a month later. Even to this day he remembers everything we talk about. I love that, so when I'm talking about something, I don't have to give him the back story every time.

Back before kids - circa 2008
I could say some materialistic things, like he always knows what I want, and can pick out an outfit better than I could. He's the best person to go shopping with, he'll tell you how it is and isn't shy about hurting my feelings. Mostly because he knows I don't want to go out looking like a dufus...yep I just said dufus. Mr. often times will take my outfit photos, and every time I'm going through the pictures, I find stuff like this, Butt Shot every time.

I love the way he makes me laugh. He can turn my sourest of moods and make me laugh so hard my cheeks hurt. He can read me like a book and knows exactly what needs to be said to make me feel better, or when not to say anything and just let me be. He just knows and I love him for that.

Super old picture, but I sort of love it

But mostly I love the way he treats our children, he will do ANYTHING for them. Even dress in this bear costume for two years to keep up with the family costume theme. He definitely took one for the team on this one.

I love how he loves children, when we walk into a room and there is a baby he runs off to the sink to wash his hands and is the first one holding them, and mostly doesn't ever give them up. Heck I would barely get to hold my own babies if it weren't for the fact that I needed to feed them, haha. Sort of joking...not really.

He is always the one that has somehow managed to gather all the kids and have it him against them all, and they are in fits of giggles at whatever he is doing. Every single time we are out with friends, they are all drawn to him and want him to play. Here the kids are playing tug-a-Daddy, they thought it was hilarious.

Okay, so this post just turned into a things I love about Mr., but in reality those are the things that make my heart go pitter patter and the reasons I love him more and more each day. And just for old time sake...

What make your heart go pitter patter?

My Life In Numbers

Another month and I remembered that I wanted to link up with one of my blogging besties Deena! Having my planner for just the blog is working, yay! I'm not forgetting what is coming up for the week, I highly recommend it. Anyway, here's my month in Numbers:

1600 miles - Driven to and from work

320 miles - Driven to and from Santa Barbara in one day to visit these two ladies.

8 - The number of Physical Therapy sessions I went to

16 - The number of allergy shots I got this month. This number should be going down next month! Yay for almost getting to maintenance mode.

10 - The number of days this little lady was, you forget how tiny they are when they are born! ALMOST makes me want another one...shhh, don't tell Mr.

4 - The number of weeks I've been doing the hair challenge, and have to say I'm getting better!

Week 1:
Week 2:

Week 3:

Week 4:

2 - The number of blog posts written for The Blended Blog.

New Year, New Home - One of goals this year is to spruce up my house!
January Wrap Up - All of the contributors weigh in on the posts they loved from their blogs this month.

1 - The number of times we went to Disneyland

1.5 - The number of hours (yes I said hours) spent at Disneyland, haha. Good thing we have a pass, we were trying to go one one more ride and Baby Fox had a melt down in the middle of the line and wanted to go home and sleep. So that's what we did, went home. Next time.

70 - the number of degress this pool was...I'm kidding, I have no idea how cold it was but it was SUPER cold! Yes that is Baby and Mini Fox back there on those slides.

I do have to say if you ever visit Disneyland you have to visit the Courtyard Marriott on Harbor...seriously so cool! They have this cool water park, plus they have 2 super big slides that you could go on, but the kids were too small. Well Mini Fox was, and Baby Fox was too scared. But highly reccomend, the hotel rooms were nice and the pool area, your kids wouldn't even know they weren't going to Disneyland! OH and Disneyland is right across the street. It was actually a shorter walk from the hotel than it would have been to park in a parking lot/structure and have to take the tram. I'm thinking next time we go to Disneyland we might just park at the hotel and walk...it's only a few dollars more and I don't have to wait for a Tram at the end of the day....win.

18 - The number of selfies I took...that is so not true, 18 is really the number I showed you, I took a bunch more for my hair posts...but didn't think you'd want to see those.

97 - The number of years my grandma is...Loved seeing her, we don't see her often, but it was good that she knew who we were and we had a great visit.

1- The number of nights Baby Fox spent away from us, he did his first sleep over and did great, and told us that he wanted to go for 2 nights next time.

Yep in that mesh bag is his blankie...that got it's own bag
1 - The number of girls nights I got this week...hopefully I get another one next one..speaking of which I should get that on the calendar. Anyone want to join in?

I think that's all I got this month. What does your month look like in number? Mine was a lot of 1's so it seemed...Happy Monday!
