Wednesday: 4th of July Outfit

Don't forget to enter my giveaway going on right now!

And just back in stock, if you wanted to make my Patriotic Wreath, they just restocked the blue star burlap on Amazon!

Saturday we had a bunch of friends over for a pool day. We thought it was going to be too cool, but it turned out just perfect weather for swimming. A bonus...the adults didn't have to get into the water. We were able to sit on the sidelines and the let the kids swim. I am going to like this stage of life...

One adult did get in because he wanted to, but didn't have to...

Lunch break.

More swimming then a watermelon break.

And then they got to try these out, I'm making them for a special blog hop coming up at the end of the month, I needed everyone's opinion on which one I should go with. It was unanimous which one it should and shouldn't be. Now to take pictures for the blog post.

Sunday was a lazy day and the kids and Mr. planted some seeds that one of the kids got from school.

I got a much needed hair cut, 7 months is WAY too long to go, but now my hair feels SOOOO short!

It was warm and the kids wanted to go swimming again, so they did, Mini Fox wanted to try out the snorkel.

Then I decided to get in.

Then my dad came over for a BBQ and we ate dinner outside, best way to end the day.

Monday we headed out to my cousins house for her daughters 7th birthday party, and some bike decorating! It's a family tradition that we decorate bikes for the 4th of July parade the next day. On the road, 100 miles, and the kids did great.

There was the BEST face painter there, I mean look at her set up...never seen that before!

Birthday girl up first.

All the kids waiting to get their faces painted.

Mini Fox was second to last, she kept asking me to take pictures every time the lady stopped to get more paint...then asked me to show her so she could see the progress, it was super cute.

Baby Fox was up last, and got a dragon, then all the kids went a second and some a third and forth time, so fun.

Two of the best ones...this one...

and this one, how cool is it when she opened her mouth the dinosaur opened his too?

Then came the bike decorating.

After birthday cupcakes.

Wish I would have jumped in one, but I was there, promise.

Present opening.

And we rounded out the evening with a hula hoop contest/freeze dance.

We then all spent the night, all the girls in with my cousin. Mini Fox did so good!

Everyone was up the next morning around 6am, but Mini Fox, she slept until 8:30! This was taken about 8:15am.

Everyone was up and ready to tackle the day, first up waffles for everyone.

Then we let the kids veg out and watch a movie...Inside Out I believe.

Finally it was time to leave for the parade and the kids were so stinkin excited!

After the parade we came back the adults got breakfast and we hung out for a while until nap time for everyone.

I did my niece's hair (I call her niece, but really she is my second cousin? Is that how that works, my cousin's kid?), anyway, I did this to her hair. Next time I'm going to put the two outside points a little higher.

Everyone got a two hour nap, and we were off to my aunt and uncle's house for some 4th of July fun.

Mini Fox couldn't wait for her cotton candy. Look at that face, so excited!

There was some sack races

And the boys played...I forget the name, but some basketball thing. Round robin?

Then it was time to head out to get our spots for the fireworks, we got our passes to a special spot, and headed over.

The fireworks didn't disappoint, and were fantastic! I just love this tradition of ours, and hope that it can last forever! I love all the cousins getting time together, and even though there no one gets much sleep, it's the best time ever!

As usual some stuff around the internet that I've been loving.

These are just too cute! I love them all.

So cool that this mom created this to help her son eat more healthy foods. She uses all natural ingredients to get those colors...so amazing!

LOL, this is me all day every day...what about you? Can you relate?

4th Of July Outfit

Happy Wednesday! I'm taking the day off and doing a day date with Mr. but I thought I would share my 4th of July outfit with you. I thought this year I'm going plain and simple.

*Some of the links are affiliate links and I will  either receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you click on it or if you make a purchase from one of these links, I may also receive a commission on the sale of the product. By purchasing through Foxy's Domestic Side, you're helping me to continue creating fun things for this space.

Shorts (similar here - on sale for $28.80! and here) | USA T-Shirt | Shoes

I decided to go with a simple necklace and a bold lip, cause what's 4th of July without matching red lips to go with?

Funny how when I did my make up for this look, I thought it was so heavy and bold, but now looking at the pictures you can hardly see it...goes to show if you are taking pictures you need to put on WAY more then you think you need if you want it to show up in pictures.

A fun picture for you.

Also linking up with Anne from Anne In Residence and her monthly currently where she gives you the topics to talk about. This month her guest host Stephanie, okay let's get to the topics:

Documenting: Everything I can about the kids, I know I'm going to forget it all and I'm trying to get as much down as I can and take as many pictures as I can...cause moments like these, go by fast and I can barely remember it all.

Accomplishing: My first party of two birthdays this summer. Throwing Baby Fox a half birthday is awesome, but then it makes me throwing two summer birthdays, so now that one is done I'm onto the next. Mini Fox says she wants a Frozen party...at least there's lots out there to buy for that one. Phew.

Enjoying: Summer. I'm loving the long days and the swimming and get together with friends and the staying up late with the kids. It's all so fun and I already know it's going by way too quickly!

Reading: Well besides other people's blogs, not much. I need to get on that. Too much too do, too little time. Like today, I decided instead of doing something productive I wanted to take a nap. Could I have fought through the drowsiness and did something with my afternoon, yes, but did I? No...and it felt darn good.

Spending: Nothing! Woo hoo! I am on my no shopping ban and I haven't spent anything. Actually that's not true, today my Fabletics monthly subscription (referral link) came up and I decided to use it this month because I am in desperate need of some new shorts. I have been wearing the same shorts for at least 10 years...I know. I just can't seem to find any that I really like. I like a wide waist band and the built in underwear...anyone have any leads? I'm hoping these ones will work out, we'll see.

I know tight shorts, but I say, hey if people can wear tight pants to the gym, why not tight shorts? I hope they hold it all in, and I hope I can return them if I don't like...yikes!

So tell me...if you celebrated 4th of July, what time did you get home?

Happy 4th Of July!!

Happy 4th of July Foxy American Friends. Coming at you from my cousin's house where we have 7 kids sleeping in two rooms right now. Don't have much to post but height I would leave with one of our fun traditions. Decorating bikes and scooters in prep for the parade tomorrow.

Last year...

Same kids this year. Love that we have this tradition. And I love it even more that Mr. and I have a day date tomorrow.

I'll see you on the flip side, pretty sure the kids are going to wake up before the sun. Wish us luck. Stay safe!!

TBB Asked I'm Answering

Happy Monday Foxy Friends! It's another Monday, which means it's another TBB Summer Time Fun prompt. Today we thought it would be fun to get to know all of you a little more and ask you some silly questions. If you are stopping by from Shaunacey's blog, welcome! So happy for you to visit this little space of mine. Okay let's get to the questioning.

1. Favorite Animal?   Fox (duh) or bunnies, they're so cute.

2. Wine or Beer?   Beer, specifically Sierra Nevada, yum.

3. Sock on/off while sleeping?    Definitely off!

4. One piece or two piece for swimming suites?   One piece, I'm a mom, no one wants to see that :) Although back in the day, I was two piece all the way.

5. Cooking at home or eating out? I like cooking at home, but occasionally eating out is fun too.

6. Pepsi or Coke? Coke...I guess coke products, I don't in fact actually drink dark soda, or anything with caffeine.

7. Regular or electric toothbrush? Regular, we used to have electric, but stopped using it...not sure why.

8. Candy or chocolate? Candy, specifically Wwedish Fish

9. Coffee or tea? Neither, I don't like drinking hot drinks.

10. Music or talk radio? Music, talk radio I find boring and doesn't keep me entertained for my almost 2 hour drink home.

11. Chick flick, action movie or documentary? If Mr. wasn't around, chick flicks all the time, but since he is, I like all of the action movies. Anything with Jason Statham is a win in our book.

12. Regular or mechanical pencil? Regular, nothing like a #2 freshly sharpened pencil.

13. Swimming or laying out? Laying Out, unless it's 90° and 100% humidity, then I might consider getting in.

14. Dog or Cat? Dogs, I'm so allergic to cats I have an allergy attack just thinking of it.

15. What do you drive: SUV, Van or Sedan? Sedan

Mr. filled out the rest of these for me while I was in the other room...he pretty much nailed it.

16. Early bird catches the worm or night owl? Night owl, but I wake up at 4:00 AM too!

17. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? Bean and cheese burritos! All day, every day. So funny when I read this question I was totally going to write this.

18. While Sleeping: Phone in room by your side or phone in another room? Another room. Set to silent!

19. Singing in the shower, yes or no? No.

20. Oreo cookies: Eat Whole, take apart and/or dunk in milk? He wasn't sure about this one, but took a guess and was right, whole, no milk. He on the other hands gets a class a milk, puts the oreos in the milk, let's it sit there for a minute and then eats it with a spoon.

Okay there you go, 20 random questions about me. Now answer one of these yourself down below!

Now hope on over to Lana's blog to see her answers.
