Weekly Favorites: The One Where the Canadians Visit

Hi Foxy Friends! What a couple of weeks it's been! So much to recap, I'll try to keep the pictures at a minimum though. So let's get started.

In case you missed it this week, was all about things I would never do. Monday was things I would never do, and Wednesday was all about things I would never wear. Go check it out and see what food I will NEVER ever eat and what kind of shoes you'll never see on my feet.

Also I also posted a YouTube Video on a cute thing to do for your kids for Valentine's Day. It starts today, and super easy to do! It's a 47 second video, so nothing too hard to do!

I also wrote about my recent purchase, a lot of it from Target...my favorite store. Okay let's get to what we've been up to lately.

Things I have been making lately...

Homemade tempura...can I tell you how good it was? Next time I need to make something more heft to go with it, but it was delicious and it will definitely be made again! In case you are wondering we have this deep fryer, it's small but gets the job done.

Also I had a MNO craft night at my house and it was so much fun, definitely going to be adding it to the must do on a regular basis! I made these:

See below to see who I gave them to :)

A couple of Saturdays ago, we went out with some friends to celebrate a birthday and we all wore Onsies and did a bar crawl. Let me tell ya, you meet interesting people when 15 people walk into a bar wear PJ's. Do it with your friends, you won't regret it!

In case you were wondering, my onsie is this one, it has wine glasses on it, need I say more?

Last week these girls came to visit with their kids, and we had the most fantastic time. We spent a few days at Disneyland and then we headed to my house and had a ginormous sleep over. Every second of it was fantastic.

They flew in on Tuesday, so Tuesday night I took the kids over there and we headed to Goofy's Kitchen, the kids loved it!

The next night, I had to work, so after work we headed over and had dinner again.

Thursday Mr. joined us for Disneyland. I won't bore you with all of the pictures.

Friday Lana and her hubby joined us while Mr. went back to work. This is when those shirts come into play, of course I had to make us matching shirts :)

Everyone left us and Me and the kid ended up staying until almost Midnight! Last ride of the night

Saturday was the perfect beach day as it was close to 80°, we grabbed some sandwiches and headed to the beach. The kids got wet and had a blast!

After the kids went to bed I took them to Target, we somehow ended up spending almost 2 hours there, it felt more like 20 minutes, but the clock doesn't lie.

Sunday we headed out for a hike (mostly flat), or poor Canadian friends aren't use to any sort of warm weather right now...considering they were coming from -45°, but we all survived.

A few races happened.

Mr. pushing the stroller with 100 pounds of kid inside.

Not the cave we wanted to find, but the kids were happy. Good thing cause the cave we were hiking to, was shut down due to all of the fires that happened near us last year.

Finally a group shot.

We headed back to the house to cool off and eat some In and Out, a must when you visit California no?

Not sure why I didn't get more pictures of the kids in the pool, oops.

Sunday night Deena, her kids and Mr. and Baby Fox headed to the Lakers game.

Monday Abbie, myself and the girls (Baby Fox went to hang out with my dad) went to San Clamente pier to have lunch and hang out and take some pictures.

Unfortunately they had to take off to go back to meet up with Deena and crew and I was super sad. But our kids are all now besties and I'm sure there will be many more adventures in our future! Now head on over to The Blended Blog and link up your Friday favorites.

Prime Purchases

Last year I saw Andrea post her favorite Prime Purchases, and she was linking up to Tayna who hosts the link up. Super fun, right? You see what I'm buying that I don't need/purchasing and we all get to then want to buy all the things, keeping the economy going right there. Click here to see my past purchases. Okay let's get started!

I bought this cute sweatshirt for St. Patrick's Day and it is probably one of the softest sweaters ever and you need to go get yourself one too!

But if graphic sweaters aren't your thing, I also bought this super soft sweater. If it has stripes most likely I'll buy it, it's an addiction I tell ya! Pictures of both of these sweaters coming soonish...

I just got this at Target, but they also sell it here. Sometimes you just want a little tummy control and I think this Body Suit is the way to go. It's not super constricting, but provides that little but of control without making it so you can't breathe. Plus I like that it's a bodysuit and does not have the leg part, as that is always what is so irritating when going to the restroom! They are reversible, I got the Black/Grey and have the White/Nude on the way.

While we are on the chubby containing garments, Deena suggested getting these and I have them on order. Yep I'm okay with wearing granny panties if it helps with the pooch, you know what I'm talking about...please say you do. I'm still waiting for them, so I'll let you know how it goes.

We also bought this iPad cover for Baby Fox. He needed an upgrade after 3 years, and he loves this one. It has a handle and the handle folds down so it can be a stand, perfect.

So those are the things that we've been buying the last month. I also bought a bunch of things from Amazon for a craft project, but those aren't as interesting.  But when I do eventually put it together, I'll show you what I did! So what have you been buying lately? Anything I NEED?!

3 Things I Will Never Wear

Hi Foxy Friends! Today I'm linking up with The Blended Blog and our host Shaunacey from Simply Shaunacey. We're continuing with them Never Have I theme of the week, with things you will never wear.

First Trend

First up is the Wide Legged pant. I think they look GREAT on everyone else except me! I have tried so many times, but look how cute these pants are? One day I will find a pair that work for me! I guess I was digging the stripes when I made this.

Second Trend

Pencil skirts, do NOT work for this pair shaped body...I want them to look good, and I haven't worn them at different times in my life...but I need things to be flowy. I wish they looked better, cause they are so darn cute!

Third Trend

Cutout Booties. I know, they are super cute! But they look AWFUL on my skinny ankles and fat calves...so for now I'll just admire them from afar, because seriously, how cut are they?!

So what is a trend that you won't wear? I wish these would work from me because they are so stinkin cute, but they DO NOT look so cute on me! Go link up your post with Shuanacey or The Blended Blog. Then go check out what the other ladies won't be wearing this season.

5 Things I Will Never EVER Do

Hi Foxy Friends! Sorry I accidentally took a blogging break last week. Deena and Abbie and their kids came to visit and all things blog went out the door. I had all intentions, but you know...friends.
I'm hosting over on The Blended Blog for our Monday themed day. Today we're talking about things we will never do...head on over there to check out my first one, I almost threw up posting the picture of it...go see what it is. Then come back here and see what my other 4 things I will never do is.

This picture has nothing to do with anything, but I just like jumping pictures. Abbie is a good jumping partner.

I will never...

Two

Go to the Amazon, or somewhere with a ton of bugs that bite you. I am so allergic to them, it takes me months to get over one simple mosquito bite...I can't even imagine having 20+ bites at once. Watching the show Naked and Afraid is pretty much my worst nightmare.

Three

Bungee jump...I just feel like it's asking my body to do things that it shouldn't do...holy whiplash.

Four

Watch scary TV shows, I have an overactive imagination while sleeping and have nightmares for months after watching a scary movie. Even Stranger Things was too scary, 5 minutes in and I was out. Pretty Little Liars was borderline too scary for me...I had to watch that during the day. I like watching them, my night time dreaming brain does not.

Five

Eat something in the shape of when they were alive. I can't do it, I can eat it if someone takes the lobster out of the tail, but can't do it myself. I start thinking of them swimming in the ocean all free and then I get grossed out and can't eat it. So no eating things in the shape of when they were a live. Mr. laughs and teases me that he's going to make a meatloaf shape cow to see if I'll eat it, lol.

So make me feel better about myself and tell me something you will never do. Go link up over on The Blended Blog something you would never do.

Valentine's Day Kid Affirmations

Hi Foxy Friends! Sharing a fun thing to do for your kids for Valentine's Day. We did this last year for our kids, and they loved it! We thought it would be nice to do some affirmations for the kids on the door. Instead of writing one affirmation per heart, we each wrote an affirmation on the heart, myself being on the left and Mr. being on the right. The kids loved waking up and reading what we had written to them each day.

Super easy, when I was making the hearts, I folded the paper in half, and then realized there was a natural line for us to each take a side. So no need to get fancy, make them different sizes and colors. We kept them up all year too. They are still on the door. I will probably take them down and save them in a book, and then start all over again come February.
