Winter to Spring Transition Sweater

Hi Foxy Friends! Happy Hump day, man the last two days have been long. I've been not sleeping well so it's been rough at work to say the least. Can we talk about Target for a minute? I'm loving their new A New Day line, all of the sweaters are so soft and perfect for Spring, when we're transition from cold to warmer temps. I got this sweater a while back, so it's not available, but I found one that is similar. It's so soft and light weight, I can hardly believe it's from Target.

I'd like to thank Abbie for taking all of the photos. We had three kids between us and we were trying to keep them occupied while taking photos at the same time.

They really did come at the best time, a week between all of the rain. It has pretty much rained almost every weekend since they left.

Mini Fox wanted in on the action.

Her and Abbie's daughter were fast friends and wanted to do everything together.

5 Beauty Hacks

Hi Foxy Friends! Today I'm linking up with The Blended Blog and we're sharing all of our beauty hacks. I figured I'd make it an odd number and do 5, 3 seemed not enough, 4 seemed weird...so 5 it is.

If you want great curls in the morning, a quick hack is to curl your hair with a thin curling iron (I use a 19mm wand) and I make 6 big spirl curls. I leave them as is, hair spray them and sleep in it. Don't need to wrap it or anything, when you wake up, use your fingers to comb through your hair and you'll have soft curls.

This dry shampoo puts all other dry shampoos to shame. It gets rid of the grease and it lifts your hair from the roots, unlike other dry shampoos that somewhat get rid of the grease, but leaves it a little flat. Trust me I've tried all different kinds of dry shampoo, up until this week my favorite was this one, but no longer, I'm ONLY going to buy the IGK one. Seriously it looked like first day hair...although didn't feel like it, but it would be the perfect time to do a fancy hair style with the grit and lift that it left. Okay I'll stop gushing, just go get it and you'll thank me later. It also comes in a travel size, add to cart! See this video on how to use Dry Shampoo.

If you have clean hair and you want to give it some texture and life you use this Amika Un.Done Texture Spray! Helps to give your hair some life without having to go 5 days of not washing it to get that look.

Now that your hair style is done, you have to use this, to tame those fly aways. You'll wonder how you went so long without this product in your life.

Next hack, I always thought you used a comb to tease your hair, but this teasing brush gets the job done way faster with way less steps! See this video on how to tease your hair.

Last hack, you need to get better bobby pins. Sounds easy, and not really hackish, but seriously once I started using better ones, my hair game went up, the styles I was doing was holding better and longer. They come in bronzesilver and black. I'm sure you can get quality bobby pins at Sally Beauty Supply too, so bottom line...drop the drug store bobby pins and get something better. Also did you know that the bumps go down? Yep, that's what holds your hair in place, those bumps, so take advantage and use those bumps against your head. See this video on how to use a bobby pin correctly.

So those are my 5 beauty hacks. Do you have any beauty hacks you want to share? Sign off below! Doesn't have to be about hair, can be about make up, clothes anything beauty related! Head on over to The Blended Blog to link up your beauty hacks.

Weekly Favorites #10

Happy Friday Foxy Friends! Unfortunately it's my working Friday, but I have some offset time, so I get to leave at 12 today, so that's not too bad! Okay let's get to my weekly favorites:

It's Mr.'s birthday today! Comment down below to wish him a happy birthday, he'll read all of the comments! I'm not the PDA mushy public announcement kind of gal, so just know I love him, he's the best partner and best father I could ever ask for. The.End.

Last Thursday I went out to celebrate this lady's very much belated birthday, but it was last minute and so nice to see her and catch up. We went to this brewery that had awesome food and I might actually have my birthday party there later this year, we'll see. Anyway, I've known her since 7th grade.

Saturday was full of baseball. Luckily the kids games were back to back so we were able to see both of the. Can I saw how stinkin' cute T-ball is? I mean, seriously, it's the cutest thing ever.

The kids were so cute together after the game eating their snacks.

These two have big brothers on the same team, so they made a plan to meet on the dinosaur to eat their snack...it was the cutest thing ever, considering where we went was a 15 minute drive, haha.

Saturday night was family movie night, we watched Captain America.

Sunday we went to church and then afterwards I met up with some friends for lunch. It was great to sit and chat with them for a bit, pretending we weren't with our 5 kids.

Oh but here they were, acting goofy as always, but they were all great.

One last thing before I go, I was featured over on A Fierce Beauty, for my St. Patrick's Day Wreath! Go check out all of things you need to do to get ready for Spring! Stop in and tell her I sent you over there.

Blast From the Past

Hi Foxy Friends! Today over on The Blended Blog we're going back to our high school selves to show you how we dressed...Not sure if I want to show you. As I am looking through pictures, I don't feel like I've changed that much! Haha!

Then

I went through some old pictures and realized I sort of wear the same thing...take this, denim shirt with floral skirt...that's in right now...sort of.

Now

Updated the skirt to a tulle one, and tied off the chambray shirt.

Skirt (Similar) / Shirt (same style, different print)/  Heels (similar) / Earrings (similar) / Necklace (similar)

Then

Baggie jeans with a tank top...I still wear a lot of tank tops. Baggie jeans, no one likes those.

Now

White jeans and a floral tank top.

Jeans (similar) / Tank (similar) / Wedges (similar)

 Then

Jean shorts, tank and a short sleeve sweater...hmmm...the buttoning of the sweater, I question that.

Now

Ditched the sweater, and gone to printed tank tops.  No weird short sleeve, button awkwardly shirt needed.

Shorts (similar) / Tank (similar) / Flip Flops (size up at least 1/2 a size)

Alright now that I've thoroughly embarrassed myself, what did your high school self wear? Go link up your fashion post to The Blended Blog.
