Floral Romper with Pockets

Happy Wednesday Foxy Friends! Today is my birthday! Woo hoo, unfortunately it's on a Wednesday, and I still have to work, boo! But at least I'll be celebrating lots over the weekend, and I'm pretty sure my family has something up their sleeves for when I get home, so that's cool. I'll let you know what it was later this week.

I found yet another romper that fits! Actually Target was having a buy one get one 50% off, so I HAD to buy two right? I thought, if one fits and the other one doesn't they are both going back, good thing they both fit, and I got the stamp of approval from Baby Fox. He actually gave me a thumbs up and told me to keep them both. Click here for the other romper.

Bonus that it has pockets! Plus the whole thing just feels like pajamas, win-win in my book.

You can't really see it, but there is a lace up front detail that is super cute too.

In case you are wondering the necklace and the bracelet both came in my FabFitFun Box. If you want to see some unboxing I've done on these, click here for the Wummer box and here for the Spring box.

These fake eyelashes are my new favorite and they also sell them at Walmart for $8.88 for a 5 pack. Pretty darn good deal if you ask me. I'm using this make up palette and a random combination of these lipsticks.  Seriously, I keep layering it on top of each other until I get the color I want.

And the little ties on the sleeves, I can't stand how cute it is.

I thought since it was my birthday I would give you a few facts that you might not know about me, I'll spare giving you 38 of them, let's go with 5.

I can whistle with my fingers, like you know when people put their thumb and pointer finger and whistle, yep I can do that. (Want me to teach you? There is a trick and I taught myself in 7th grade)

Might be TMI, but I can flip my tongue upside down in both directions, you know you're trying it right now.

I can't eat protein in the shape of when it was alive, like eating whole fish, eyes still intact...barf. Or crab/lobster. I have no problem eating it if they are de-shelled, but when I see what they look like I start thinking of them happily swimming around in the ocean, I start feel sad and then I don't want to eat it any more. (strange I know)

I always name my cars, currently my car's name is Marge

I had a fish in college named Mel and he had a cute black mustache, would jump for his food and he lived for almost 2 years. When he died I was devastated and knew then I could never have a dog, if I acted like this after 2 years how I would be when a dog died after 17 years? No way.

What Up Wednesday: Birthday Edition

My birthday is tomorrow, so I thought I would link up with ShayMel and Sheaffer for a little What Up Wednesday Tuesday birthday related.

What I'm wearing:

Things I've worn on past birthday dinners.

What we're eating this week:

My favorite birthday dinner is Mexican food, I think we go every year...and this year will be no different, Mexican all the way, give me all the chips and guacamole.

Last year we forgot to take pictures, so I made my family drive back over to my house so we could get at least one picture.

What I'm reminiscing about:

How my birthday 7 years ago, I was waiting for our first born.

What I'm loving:

Having friends and family around me for my birthday. Typically we do a family dinner on my actual birthday.

Then the weekend surrounding my birthday Mr. and I get out for a date.

What we've been up to:

Not sure what we're going to do this year, as my birthday is on a Wednesday. Normally it's my only day I get to the actual gym, but if I do that I don't get to work out, so maybe we'll go out to dinner on Thursday, especially since Baby Fox has soccer on Wednesdays till 6pm.

What I'm dreading:

Not much, I don't think 38 is going to be so bad.

What I'm working on:

When your kid's birthday is 10 days after yours, all thoughts go to their party. So currently I am knee deep in all things Frozen.

What I'm excited about:

Mr. won a gift card to Ruth's Chris and he's taking me to dinner on some night in the near future. I told him to make it a surprise who is going with us. Can't wait to find out who it is!

What I'm watching/reading

Watching Game of Thrones, who isn't? Okay probably a lot of people, but we love it, and can't believe there is only one season left! We are watching the last episode tonight, can't wait!

What I'm listening to:

Peter Hollens Total Eclispse of the heart. He tried to film a video during the eclipse singing this song, while it didn't turn out how he wanted, I still think it turned out great.

What I'm doing this weekend:

Birthday dinner with my family, since my actual birthday didn't work out, then Saturday prepping for Mini Fox's birthday party. Sunday is apple picking with some friends and Monday we have the day off, woo hoo for three day weekends! We are going through a bit of a heat wave, so we're going to have some friends over to swim and BBQ probably.

Last time we went apple picking I looked like this:

What I'm looking forward to next month:

Mini Fox's birthday party and a cousin's wedding. Should be super fun to see some family and hang out. Plus my mother-in-law and brother-in-law will be in town for a few days visiting, that's always fun.

Our Favorite Southern California Day Trips

Hello Foxy Friends! I'm back with the Justine talking about our favorite day trips. Since we all live throughout California I'm excited to see what some of the other ladies have to say.

As most of you know I live in Southern California, so obviously ours revolve around that.

 Trip #1

Our favorite day trip would have to be to the beach. We have been going more recently, as in we didn't go at all last summer.  I'm not really sure why, but now the kids are old enough that they can entertain and dig in the sand and no one is taking naps, so there isn't a cranky time. It really is the best, sit on the beach, let the kids dig in front of us, help them get some water from the ocean every once in a while, although mostly Baby Fox has that part down and doesn't need my help any more. It's pretty darn awesome. Bring lunch, a bunch of snacks and we are happy the for 5-6 hours.

The last time we went to the beach, I taught the kids of digging tunnels, they loved it and it took them forever to do it, then they would step on it, and start over, it was great!

Trip #2

Second favorite day trip is going to Legoland. It is about an hour away, and the kids LOVE it. No matter how many times we go, they can never get enough.

They love the aquarium, and even though it's small they could spend hours in there. It never changes, yet, they always find something to look at and never want to leave.

I wrote a few post on Legoland:

5 Things To Skip at Legoland

Trip #3

The mountains, Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear are both within a couple hour drive from our house.  This particular picture is Lake Arrowhead, there is so much to do up there, hikes, beach, cute little town to walk around in.

Or you can head to Big Bear and get some snowboarding in. Also a 2ish hour drive from our house. So within 2.5 hours you can go from snowboarding to enjoying the sunset on the beach.

Those are three of many day trips available here. There are so many more that we just haven't done yet. We're hoping to go apple picking soon, which is 2.5 south of us. Hopefully it works out that we can go!

Now go check out where Justine from Little Dove's favorite day trips are, as she is located in Northern California and will be totally different than mine!

Friday Favorites #131: Joy Edition

Happy Friday Foxy Friends! As we speak I'm camping...yep imagine me camping. We'll see how it goes and if we want to go back. But before kids we loved it, so I am hoping the kids love it too so we can add it to the ever growing list of things we can do as a family. Today I'm bringing you a new link up I just heard about. CrystalBeth, Jessica, and Stephanie have created a new link up! It's called 5 things currently bringing me joy. They want you to write down 5 things that bring your life joy. I love it, simple and reminds me to be thankful for what I have instead of thinking of what I want/don't have. They are going to do it the last Friday of every month, starting today!  So let's get started.

ONE

Mini Fox is finally old enough to go shopping with me and actually enjoy it. We walk around, do a little shopping for me, do a little shopping for her, it's the BEST. I've been waiting for this since the doctor said "you're having a girl"

TWO

Watching this kid grow and learn. This is his first season of soccer where there is an actual practice, twice a week. Every night we go over what our "best part of the day", "good part of the day", "okay part of the day" and "worst part of the day". Every day he has soccer he always, without hesitation says that soccer was his best part. First game isn't for a few more weeks, but can't wait to see these kids

THREE

Donuts, do I need to say more?

FOUR

Being able to get together with these ladies and watch our kids grow up together brings me such joy. I can't imagine better people in my life to support me and my family. I look forward to many more years together, laughing, loving, crying and supporting.

FIVE

Halloween is right around the corner, which means Halloween costumes...okay it's not RIGHT around the corner, but Costco starts selling them now. I always feel like Halloween is the start of Fall, at least for our weather and then all of the fun festivities after that, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years. Geez, it seems like the year just flew by.

Thanks ladies for hosting such an awesome link up! I'll be back next month with some more joys.

Romper Heaven

Happy Wednesday Foxy Friends! You guys I have been looking for a romper for the last...well forever! I found one, and have been trying to find another one ever since. A friend actually wore this the other day to our MNO, and I immediate went home and bought one.

*Some of the links are affiliate links and I will  either receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you click on it or if you make a purchase from one of these links, I may also receive a commission on the sale of the product. By purchasing through Foxy's Domestic Side, you're helping me to continue creating fun things for this space.

One of the best things about this romper is that it has pockets! I liked the romper when my friend was wearing it and I LOVED the romper when I found out it had pockets.

The necklace was made by my friend, Jackie at BEXO "Be Xtraordinary", she has some amazing stuff, you should go check it out.

Blogger problems, tag sticking out, doh! What happens when you are doing remote timer shots, oh well, I thought you should get to see the back side, isn't it so cute?! In case you are wondering I am wearing this bra.

Thanks again for continuing to make this link up a success!

$10 Target Haul: August Edition

Hello Foxy Friends! Normally I would show you all the things that I bought at Target for $10, but this time the ladies and I decided that it would be fun to, instead of spending $10, combine our money and do a Target Give A Way! How fun is that?

Truth be told, the last time I went into Target, I was buying all the school supplies for Baby Fox. I did pass by the dollar section to try and peruse, but Mr. was with me and starts to get impatient if we stray too far from why we are there. The kids usually don't care, I told him he was worse then the kids. He just laughed at me and agreed.

I did find some things I would have maybe considered had I been doing the $10 challenge. These finger crayons, how fun are these? Stick on fingers and now you can draw...I think the kids would love this.

A taco gel for the windows, yes please! Although at $3 this was sort of expensive for this, I probably wouldn't have gotten it, but it's super cute.

I love buying the kids matching plates, we have some for every holiday, and quite frankly the kids like having matching things as well. These plates were so dang cute, perfect for Summer.

I found these honeycombs with tassels, which was super cool, just wished it came in colors for Mini Fox's birthday party.

I did, however, find these honeycombs that are somewhat close to the Frozen theme color, so I had to buy them for the party. I have no idea how I am going to decorate for the party, but I'll eventually get there. I hope!

Okay now what you've all really been waiting for, that giveaway. Enter below for your chance to win!
