Friday Favorites #173

Hi Foxy Friends! Happy Friday! Today is my off Friday, I'm enjoying it by lunching with Mom and the kids down the by the beach. Before we start with the favorites, head on over to Andrea's blog, she's showing off the shirt I made her...because you know I'm obsessed with making graphic shirts for people. She's also giving me a shout out too, head over there and say hi to her, because she's awesome. Case in point here and I made a whole video how to do it here. Okay let's get to some Friday Favorites.

In case you missed it this week:

Tuesday: 5 Tips For Navigating BeautyCon and Free Sample Haul
Wednesday: Love Is In the Air...or On My Graphic Tee
Thursday: July Boxy Charm Unboxing

I know who am I? I posted two videos on my Youtube Channel this week. This one was about what I learned about Beauty Con and what I got for free, and then a Boxy Charm unboxing and try on.

Last week my reign of Hand Ball Champion came to an end. I defeated Baby Fox and then Mr. barely scraped a win...but a win never-the-less, and so he gets to house the championship trophy until he is challenged. (House rules says he cannot be challenged for a week)

These two got to see each other after being away from each other for 2 weeks and they were so happy.

Part of Prime Day, Mr. bought the kids a microscope, and man did they LOVE it! If you haven't already get your kids this...it's an awesome first microscope!

Had a Bunko night with the girls, these are relatively new friends and I'm loving getting to know them better.

Friday was this girls last day of school. She still has one more year of preschool to go.

Her poses crack me up!

We always get the kids an end of the year school treat, this year Mini Fox really wanted a big sucker and my parents went all over looking for it. Apparently last Friday was national lollipop day, so a lot of stores were sold out. When they finally found these, it was buy one get one free, pretty darn good deal!

Friday night was Mini Fox's end of the year program (she goes to a preschool at someone's house).

Many outfit changes, they did a dance here.

Another outfit change.

And to finish off the show, the play of the Three Little Pigs (Mini Fox is the middle pig).

Phew that was just the week, now onto last weekend, haha! Saturday we went to visit some friends and their new pool.

Afterwards we headed to my Aunt's house for dinner. It was steak, grilled potatoes and broccoli, and we brought some yummy cakes from Whole Foods, I failed to take any pictures besides this one.

And another aunt took this one, this might be one of my all time favorites of us.

Kids were knocked out on the way home.

Sunday we went to church and mass was being said by the new Bishop, which is a treat.

After church Mini Fox wanted to do errands with me, so off to the mall we went. I did reward her with some play time in the mall play area. They re-did it and made it STEM friendly or something, she loves it.

The whole reason she really wanted to go with me because I was going to a different grocery store and she knew they had these little carts and they give out free fruit to kids. She picked banana because she doesn't get them at home because (TMI right here) it backs her up.

After the grocery store we headed over to a friends for some pool time and dinner. Yep same friend from when Mini Fox was holding the little boys hand. We did buy a Go-Pro knock off on Prime Day...and I let the kids go wild with it....that footage coming soon.

When all kids are swim safe and the one who isn't is sleeping...mom's get to relax.

Mr. and I needed to be in LA early morning, so they spent the night at a neighbors house. She sent us this picture. So cute. They woke up before 6am...which usually they wake up 7:30-8.

I know you all know about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but I thought I would put together some fun accessories to buy for gifts. Cause getting some shopping done in July for Christmas never hurt anyone. I also like to buy extra things to have gifts on hand, never know when you'll need a gift or two.

Reversible watches (All under $100)

Floral Watches (All under $100)

Black Floral (All under $100)

Floral Band (All under $100)

Jewelry
Y-Necklace (comes in 7 colors)  ($31.90)
Bracele ($32.90)
Earrings (comes in 5 colors) ($42.90)

Bags

Leopard Scarf  ($11.90)

So just this week, I had to use a jump rope in one of my workout classes and it was a complete fail...and so tiring...this is pretty awesome.

And I love when a community comes together to help a kid out. This is a sweet story.

OH my gosh! I need/want to try this! But so scared to try....yikes!

What are you up to this weekend? We're hanging with the cousins on Saturday at the aquarium and then Sunday we are headed to another cousin's birthday party. Should be fun, except we have to drive to LA both days...waaaahhhh!! Pray for no traffic, last week it took us an hour and 45 minutes to go 50 miles...Link up your Friday Loves with The Blended Blog below!

Love Is In The Air....Or On My Shirt

Hi Foxy Friends! Today I have my new favorite Love Tee, it's so cute, and it's only $10, can't beat that price! Now the weather needs to cool down, I don't like wearing tight tee's when it's hot. Currently we're having 95° weather with 71% humidity, which is high for us! Anyway, enough complaining, let's get to it.

Totally off topic, but my FAVORITE strapless bra is being price matched at Nordstrom (not part of the anniversary sale). Having things in your wish list paid off, I randomly put it there to remember to buy it later, and when I went to check on what I had in my wishlist, low and behold it was there 25% off! You need to get it, I can wear it all day and not have to pull up on it. You'll thank me later. I'm wearing it here:

5 Tips For Going to BeautyCon + Free Stuff Haul

Hello Foxy Friends! I wanted to try and get this up as quick as possible, but I'm sharing all of the things I got from BeautyCon LA 2018. Plus I thought it would be helpful to give you some tips for going to BeautyCon, since we went in not knowing what to expect. I figured other people might want some pointers to going to BeautyCon.

Bring Snacks! At least at the LA convention center, the surrounding restaurants opened at 11, and there isn't much else around. I would either eat breakfast before you get there, and bring food to eat later in the day. The lines are long, and we went and got food first which made it so that we got to the venue about noon, which is when our pass got us in. However, it took us an hour of waiting in line to actually get in. Which brings me to the next tip.

We ended up getting frozen yogurt until we could get real food!

Go early! If you can, I would actually try and get the early pass, I'm not sure exactly how they distinguish early pass from a later pass, but get there early! Get in line and eat your food. At least at the Los Angeles Convention center, you want to be in the shade, because being in the sun is hot and sweaty.

Go with friends! I think the perfect numbers is 3 other people, so 4 all together. That way, people can wait in pairs, and you can wait in line while others go scope stuff out and get samples. The more people you have roaming about the more samples you can check out and see which lines you want to wait in.

Go With Friends

Speaking of samples, ask for them! If you see a booth, ask what they are giving away. Decide if waiting in line is worth it to you. So many times we asked, hey do you know what they are giving away, and they would say, no...I would think, then why are you waiting in this line? You only have so much time there, and you need to maximize it.

I cannot stress this enough! Wear comfortable shoes! I wore tennis shoes and a romper. I was super comfortable all day walking and standing in line. I think 95% of the people there were wearing flats. It makes sense when you are going to be on your feet all day. All those that wore heels, probably didn't know better. Trust me, everyone is full out make up and cute outfits, from the knees up, then they wore sensible shoes.

What to wear to BeautyCon

Bonus: Bring a backpack so you can hold all of your stuff! It distributes the weight and makes it easier to carry everything. There is a coat check if you need it too. So fill it up, put some in coat check and get all the samples you can!

Here is the video I did for you all.

A breakdown of everything I could find from the video.

What I got for free:

Hairspray
Detangler
Leg Foundation
E Nature Skin Products, Rehydration pack

Pur Lipstick
Kiss Eyelashes
Kiss Press on Nails
Yes to Grapefruit Mask

What I bought:

Pur Eyelashes (Bombshell, DivaSocialite, Flirt)

What you should bring:

Backpack
Water
Snacks

Okay that is my breakdown for BeautyCon...And I'm sure this would apply to any sort of convention really.

Friday Favorites #172

Hi Foxy Friends! Happy Friday, finally. I feel like this week just DRAGGED!!! But it's Friday, woo hoo! Bella is finishing her last day of preschool this year, she still has another year, I know it seems like she should be going to Kinder, but she misses the cutoff by 9 days. Which is a good thing. Anyway, getting side tracked. Let's get started with my Friday Favorites.

Tuesday: A Day In My Life (abnormally long and lots of unexpected stuff happened)
Wednesday: Summer Floral Dress
Thursday: How Make a Graphic Shirt (with video of course).

Friday my MIL came to town. We all headed to the concert in the park, it was super fun. The kids danced and played and the adults talked.

Saturday was low key, I went to my workout class, and then came home and got ready and took Baby Fox to his sparring class.

Then came home and we all went to the movies to see Ant-man and Wasp, super good. Can't wait to see the next one.

Then we headed to dinner with family, forgot to take a picture, darn! But it was great to see the family and chat over good Mexican food. The kids like to climb on this bike rack and it makes me nervous every time...I try not to look, so Mr. took this picture. Why does Mini Fox look 10 here?!

Sunday I went to BeautyCon LA and it was pretty awesome! While it took us over an hour to get in to the venue, it was so much fun once we were in and going around getting free samples. I'm going to be doing a haul soon, and I also vlogged it for you to see! But here are some pictures.

It was at the LA convention center. We were a bit early and NOTHING was open to grab brunch (note to self open a brunch place), so we got some frozen yogurt until something opened...at 11, yep some dessert before lunch.

We're in and the first thing I see is Manny MUA, he was there greeting fans for a couple of hours, he's such a rock star and so gorgeous in real life!

Waiting in line to get free swag. Sorry for the sweaty faces, we were so stinkin' hot! The lines was so long to get in and half of it was in the blazing sun.

Some of the booths wanted you to take a picture and then post it to IG to get the free swag.

There were lots of places to take pictures. Comfy shoes is a must!

I don't know if we would go back on Sunday next year, we're going try Saturday as we hear that is when all of the big swag bags are given out.

Here is the Vlog from Sunday. Sorry it is so choppy, I kept forgetting to Vlog.

Until next year BeautyCon! I'll have a whole post on the lessons I learned next week for you.

Things that we bought at Prime Day, Mr. was so super excited about Prime Day, I can't even begin to tell you guys. Then he got the kids on board, and Mini Fox tells me, that I don't have the Spirit of Prime Day and that I'm not allowed to get anything, haha! Well that quickly changed, and we bought a bunch of stuff, so what did we get? Here ya go:

For Mr.
Kindle / Kindle Cover  / Banjo / Speaker / External Charger / Doorbell Camera / Volume Pedal

For Me
Headphones / Waterproof Camera / Camera Memory Card / String Lights / 23 and Me / Selfie Stick-Tripod / Phone Car Mount

For the Kids
Mircroscope / Colored Pencils / Unicorn PJ's / Nerf Vest / Wet Brush / Night Light

These are the creators and friends of the workout class I always talk about...man him and his wife #Goals.

So what are you doing this weekend? We're hanging with some friends and swimming in their new pool, then going to dinner with my aunt and uncle. Then Sunday I think some friends are coming over that we haven't seen in almost a year! Time flies and suddenly it's been a year since we've seen each other! Link up with The Blended Blog each Friday for Friday Loves.
