Friday Favorites #49

Happy Friday! I'm recovering well, and have a bunch of pictures for you next week. But for now, here are my Friday Favorites! OH and in case you missed it I posted Mr.'s funny responses to Betsy's questions late last night. Go take a look at them...I'll wait.

Okay now that you're back, my view has been pretty limited this week, but here are a few of my favorite things this week.

I love getting photos of the kids during the day.

I saw this on Facebook and it makes me ridiculously happy and want to make 100 copies of it. How about you?

I really hope that Mr. and I can be kids at heart just like this couple does.

Kids are being super good with my hurt leg, and are always concerned and wanting to kiss my boo boo better.

They don't quite understand why I can't tuck them in at night, but hopefully next week I'll be a bit better and can move a little more freely. Fingers crossed my appointment on Monday goes well and I get my cast and walking boot like promised.

What was your favorite part of your week?

The Guy Behind the Blog: 3rd Edition

A little late today, but I finally got Mr. to answer the questions for Betsy's Guys Behind the Blog Q&A. Click here for Mr.'s always hilarious answers from previous months.

1 // We’re headed into fall, which means cooler temps for most of us…are you a warm weather or cold weather kind of guy?

I'm a California weather kinda  guy, I like 75° and sunny.

2 // What's the best Halloween costume you've ever worn?

Hmmm....I liked our Three Little Bears Costume.

I

3 // What's your favorite Halloween candy?

Kit Kat

4 // What are your favorite parts of fall (ex: football, the weather, Thanksgiving, etc)?

(Long Pause)...Thanksgiving and... I don't know, no don't put that, wait are you typing everything I say, like a court reporter...Thanksgiving and cooler temperatures and the holidays...blah, blah.

5 // How do you feel about pumpkin spice lattes? (As a joke question hahaha)

Oh I've never had one...should I try one for the sake of the blog? Should I go get myself a PSL? Cause I'm down with the lingo.

What do you guys think? I think he should. I'll keep you posted.

Fall Challenge - Final Outfits

Last week of Alison's Style Challenge* 5 more outfits coming at ya. I got a lot of good ideas from this round of the style challenge. Happy that I decided to participate in it, I wasn't going to, but I couldn't resist! So let's get to it.

Day 17

This outfit called for a grey cable sweater over the whole thing, but I don't have one and it's WAY too hot to wear one, even during the winter months here, so I added a leopard belt to tie it together.

Day 18

This outfit called for an orange sweater and I remembered that I had an orange-ish cardigan, so I opted to put a white tank under it with my oversized plaid scarf. I tried to wear it two ways, which do you like best? I think I like it the first way better, with the little triangle.

Day 19

This outfit called for a printed blouse, so I used my polka dot one and then added this cute cardigan. I think I added the cardigan because without the outfit looked pretty boring.

 Day 20

My favorite dress*! Styled yet another way...I think this might be my favorite outfit of the whole Fall Challenge. Loving the big belt and the boots, now come on weather get cold so I can wear this!

Day 21

I bought this jacket last season on mega-sale at Target...I haven't worn it yet, but I'm loving this jacket with the pants. Such a great combo! I think it would have looked better with some leopard wedges instead, but it was still a very comfy, put together outfit.

Sorry all the pictures are a bit blurry, I don't know what happened, they all seemed to be in focus when I took the pictures...I really hate when that happens, don't you? Boo! Did you participate in the Fall Challenge? What was your favorite outfit that you wore?

Tuesday Favorites - Fall Find under $50

Hi all! Sorry a little late today. I was going to finish this last night, but my pain meds didn't agree with my stomach, boo! Feeling better today, and worked a full day, not having to take any time off of work. I'm linking up with Andrea and her Tuesday Favorites, this time it's Fall Finds Under $50. So here we go!

Loving my new olive pants that I got, the pictures doesn't quite get the color right, they are much darker, and a prettier color, see them here on me. And they're* only $23 right now! I love the curvy fit, very similar to the Loft Curvy Fit, and you can't beat the price.

My hair has been a little dry lately, and I've been using this* every night, and so far it seems really good, it's keep my fly aways at bay. I've always used the Pantene Pro-V Protect and Repair Shampoo and Conditioner for years, and just now realized it tells you on the bottle to use this, I totally bought this randomly at Target, because I wanted to find a hair serum. I'll keep you posted.

I just got this* purse and it pretty much screams fall right? It's only $39 and comes in 7 colors! Good deal right? You should go get one too.

Now onto a few things that I want...like this* dress, so pretty right? Perfect just how she is wearing it, but also would look great with some leggings and boots, goes from Fall to winter pretty easily. Swoon.

As soon as I finish this post I am buying this sweater. It screams cozy warm Fall days/night. Not that we're having it here, but one day when we do, I'm going to throw this on and be all warm and snuggly. For $26.40, deal and a half. I can talk myself into buying anything right?

Those are my Fall favorites, what are yours?

Super Packed Weekend

Happy Monday...well not so sure about that, get to that later, but I had a great weekend! Friday was my off Friday so I hit up the allergy docs early, before Mr. left for work.

I'm fairly certain she wasn't enjoying my pain, she's laughing at me because I'm taking a picture of her giving me a shot. She was a good sport and said, maybe you should take another picture of the other arm too, so they know you get a shot in both arms, haha.

After that, I raced home, got Baby Fox ready for school and walked him over there. Then I dropped Mini Fox off at my parents so I could get some work and errands done. Went to AAA to get my temporary handicap placard, the medical supply place to get some crutches and tried to get my prescription but ended up not getting it, figure I would wait...and you want to know why I'm getting all this stuff? About 10 days ago, Mr. and I decided to finally get that ankle surgery I've been needing. I have a torn tendon in my ankle that bothers me everyday and even more on days that I work out. So if you're reading this at 10:15 PST then I'll be in surgery.

But on to more fun things, I decided since it's going to be a while before I can walk normal (think 2 months) I took Baby Fox to Disneyland. I really wanted to see the new Electrical Parade (which I don't think they call it that any more), and then we find out that they are closing at 7pm for a Halloween Party! Arg...but we made the most of it. I videoed most of the day, so only got a few pictures.

I'll post more when I get the video together.

Meanwhile Mini Fox was having a blast with my parents. They took her to a pumpkin patch and did horse back riding. And you want to know what the first thing she told me when she saw me? My horse pooped!

 Friday ended like this:

Saturday was super busy! We got up and got going, and took this guy for a haircut for family photos on Sunday.

I think they only reason he likes getting his hair cut is because it's the only time he gets to play video games.

She was super patient.

Then wanted to ride in her own pink car.

Afterwards we headed straight to soccer...I'm not normally a advocate for this, but the only way to get Mini Fox to not run onto the field was to let her play with my camera...so a picture...most of them were of the grass.

Then afterwards we headed home to pick up Mr., who was studying for a test (he's taking it at 2:45 PST today) and headed to our cousin's 1st birthday party. It was pumpkin theme, so of course Mini Fox wore her pumpkin outfit from last week.

And just to be a little different/Fall theme, they had a pie bar, instead of cake, super cute right?

They had pumpkin painting...

and sand box

I think they kids just love being with their cousins! They rarely get to see all of them at the same time...it was great! Hard getting that many kids to look at the same place.

Some of my cousins, love them!

Happy 1st birthday!

Sunday, I took the kids to church with my Dad and then we hit up In and Out afterwards (Baby Fox's request).

In case you wanted to know how busy it is...this location is one of the busier ones, and it ALWAYS looks like this no matter what time you go...crazy right?

Mr. likes to call family picture day "your Super Bowl" and he really isn't that far off. I love planning the outfits, the location, getting ready, everything about it. I really hope there are some good ones! I didn't get a picture of the rest of my family, but I did take one of me after we were done, and everyone had changed...oops!

Came home and got some dinners prepped for the rest of the week, as I will probably not be able to get around that great on crutches...boo!

Pork chops with butternut squash and escarole.

A ton of taco meat...we like to freeze it in 1 pound bags so we can eat it whenever we want...yum!

I hope you all had a great weekend! I hope to post this week, but seeing as that I never get posts done a head of time...well see. Tomorrow I hope to have a post to you about how I came to need ankle surgery...I don't think I ever told you guys that...I blame Mr.
