Holiday Decororations Tour

Hi Foxy Friends! I know you've all been waiting for this...okay not really. And truth be told, I didn't finish decorating until yesterday so I could do this post for you...so there you have it #alwaysbehind. Anyway, I got it up, so that's what counts, right? So let's get started. One day I'll do a video on it, but today is not that day.

This is considered our "Fancy" Christmas Tree. I actually took a picture before putting up the garland on the stairs so you can see it a little better. Also if you want to see a video on how I decorate this tree, click here.

I also do garland on the stair case. I think next year I might add some more to it, I'm ready to add more, I ran out of time this year...I feel like the days are just swishing by!

Then we have a Christmas tree upstairs that is for all of the ornaments that we get from family and friends and the ones that I had growing up. It's fun to put them on the tree with the kids each year and explain each ornament to them. They love hearing the stories.

Moving onto the tree in the black carpet room (what my daughter calls it), we put a tree in here, becasue typically it is where we set up the drinks and dessert for Christmas dinner, and it's just fun to have a tree there. My mom came over and decorated this one, birthday themed for Baby Fox.

Mr. and I also do a themed birthday tree where we put his birthday gifts. Here are the themes over the years. This year is going to be Lego, we haven't put it up for him yet. Usually we do it on a random night so he can wake up to it. This is from 2015

Last year I saw someone put wreaths on their kitchen cabinets and I knew I wanted to do it again. But I forgot, until Andrea reminded me when she put them on her kitchen cabinets. Copied. This might be my new favorite addition this year. I don't ever want to take it down...

I got the wreaths (they're called Grapevine Wreaths if you wanted to know). You can find them here or here. The ones found here, come in different sizes. So the wreaths on the bigger doors are 8" and the wreaths on the smaller doors are 6", in case you wanted to know.

Our mantel is fun, I just love a good decorated mantel.

We have our manger set up on the table just by the front door. I'm thinking I want to change out that picture so it's holiday themed...

Back to the kitchen, this is where we display our Christmas cards. You can see how I did it here.

If you want to know how to make the cute clips, click here and here.

And last thing I'm going to share are these fake canvas prints I made. I made them for less than $5, I feel better about that, because I only hang them for a couple of months out of the year.

You can see a glimpse over to the right the area behind my kitchen sink. Truth be told I did half of these decorates yesterday. I didn't get around to finishing the area behind my sink. But when I do, I'll make sure to update this post for you!

Friday Favorites #187

Happy Friday Foxy Friends! Man this week was fast! I have so much work to get done and not enough brain power to do it...seriously I don't know how to do this one thing and neither does anyone in my group. Due next week, yikes! I can do this! Anyway, onto my Friday favorites:

In case you missed it this week:

Monday: What Brings Me Joy
Tuesday: Our Christmas Cards
Wednesday: Outfits that make me happy
Thursday: FabFitFun unboxing

It would mean a lot to me if you could go give this video a thumbs up, please! Thanks!

Life lately is coming next, it's been a while since I shared weekly happens, as the last two fridays I was recapping our vacation to Arizona.

At the beginning of the month we went to celebrate a friends birthday at a trampoline park, the kids had a blast.

Finally got to catch up with this lady while the kids ran around. Always nice to have someone to talk to at a kids birthday party.

Afterwards, I took this kid to see the Nutcracker and the 4 Realms, he loved it and wants to own it. Mini Fox would have nothing to do with it, so she stayed home with Mr. and snuggled and watched tv.

After church on Sunday we went to lunch with some friends, so fun to grab some food with good friends.

And of course rolling down hills is fun too.

Monday this girl fell asleep on the way home from picking up Baby Fox from karate. We're not sure if she's actually sleeping, but it sure seems like it.

Mr. was gone part of last week, so I ate left over pizza from a team party we hosted, in which I got NO pictures, oops! Trick to heating up pizza, microwave to melt cheese, put in pan and crisp up bottom, good as new. But be careful, as it goes from good to burnt in 2.5 seconds. You're welcome, life changing I know.

This girl, I had to go get allergy shots and while Baby Fox is at karate she goes with me to get shots, she brought this cape as her "survival" cape. Survival from what, not sure.

Afterwards, I took them to the Mall because I wanted junk food for dinner, and didn't feel like cooking anything when I got home. When Mr. is away we go out to eat.

Wednesday Mr. was suppose to come home, but he missed his connecting flight due to weather from his first flight, so I had to stay home on Thursday, oh poor me. Which was actually good because it rained so hard. But before the rain started, I was working in the office and the light peeking through the window looked funny, so I looked out the window and this is what I saw.

It was hard to capture, but it was a double full rainbow, and the colors were so vibrant it was insane. It lasted about 30 minutes, and then started to pour for the remainder of the day. Yep I ran outside in my Pj's and then had my neighbor take my photo.

When I went back in the house to get the kids up for school 30 minutes later...this is how I found them.

I even opend up her window...she didn't even flinch.

We did do curlers however, not realizing it was going to pour all day, oops!

Look Lana, he FINALLY gets to use the umbrella...a year later!

She did too! Had to cover up those curls!

Last weekend Mini Fox and I did matching the whole weekend. She did errands with me Saturday afternoon.

As we were doing errands we ran into my mom and sister, what a small world!

Saturday evening we went to the Mission in San Juan Capistrano to see the tree lighting ceremony with some friends.

Mr. thought he was so funny. See statue behind them.

Then we headed to dinner and had a kids table and adult table...it was almost like they weren't there...ALMOST.

Hope you all have a great weekend! Mini Fox has her Christmas performance and we're headed to my cousins for our annual Cousin Christmas. It's going to be fun!
