Color Street Nails Review and Tutorial

Hi Foxy Friends! Today I'm sharing how I get all the cool nails I've been sporting lately. It's my new obsession and it's called Color Street. Have you heard of it yet? No? Well let me give you a quick recap. They are stickers...and get this, it is actually nail polish! Yep that's right, they are stickers that you stick right to your nails, then apply a top coat and you're good to go. I use a quick dry top coat and I'm doing the dishes 5 minutes later! And the best part, you can take it off with nail polish remover. Simple as that, get really cool designs and you just stick them on your nails. Here is a video I put together for you. Sorry it's so long, but I really wanted to explain how to use Color Street nails and how to apply them. There is a slight learning curve but after a few nails you'll get the hang of it, and by the second time you use them you're a seasoned pro.

Okay, now if you need the pictures and not the video, this is for you:

What You'll Need:

Color Street Nail Polish Stickers
Wood Cuticle Pusher
Nail File
Top Coat (all time favorite of life)

Directions:

Step 1:

Wipe off your nails with the nail wipe, make sure all previous nail polish has been removed before using the wipe.

Step 2:

Find the nail sticker that best fit your first finger, and tear apart from the rest of the nails.

Step 3:

Peel off the top clear layer of the nail sticker.

Step 4:

I find that you can't do this with your thumbs, for your thumbs use the entire sticker, you can cut it to size, so you don't have to file off as much. But for the other fingers you're going to want to try and make the most of the pack that you bought and get two full manicures from it. Which means you're going to have to cut each one in half and use one sticker for two nails.

Step 5:

Stick on nail. If you don't get it right, you can lift up and replace, don't worry about ruining it you won't.

Step 6:

Using the wooden cuticle pusher, remove excess sticker that doesn't fit on your nail around your nail bed.

Step 7:

Using the cuticle pusher and the nail file, file off the excess sticker on the end of your nail. I use the cuticle pusher so the file doesn't have a lot to take off.

Step 8:

After all nails are done in the manner, use your favorite top coat, and you're done!

How to apply sticker nail polish

Easy application tutorial of Color Street Nails

Have fun with it! There are so many designs and they just came out with a marble design...need to add that to my list!

TIP: Make sure you really rub down the sticker on the nails towards your cuticles. I even try to use the cuticle pusher to push the sticker under the cuticle. If you don't, then they tend to lift a bit and your hair can get caught under them when doing your hair, if that makes sense.

Step 9:

Since this is nail polish, you need to preserve the left over sticker nails. Put your nails back in the plastic package and I use a flat iron to seal shut.

Enjoy and have fun putting on the fun designs that they have. Here are some of the ones that I've done before.

leopard nail polish

A little 4th of July fun.

And of course I have some Halloween nails on right now. They are even glow in the dark. Can I tell how weird it is to see glow in the dark nails when trying to fall asleep, weird.

So who's ready to try it? Here is the link again to buy your own, it's buy three get one free, so you might as well buy 4 right? haha, that's what got me! If you do try them out, tag me so I can see what you did!

Halloween Decorations

Happy Monday Foxy Friends! I can't believe that it's the end of October already. Today over on The Blended Blog the Monday theme is Fall Creative...we'll I am working on our Halloween Costumes, which aren't ready yet... I bet I'll be sewing up until we leave the house to go trick or treating...so I can't share that just yet. So instead you get to see my Halloween decorations. I don't go all out for Halloween, but I like the touches of Halloween here and there.

I love a good mantel. Don't you?

I like to incoroprate the kids Trick Or Treat bags, I mean I paid all that money, might as well use it!

The other section I decorate is our entry way table. It would be fun to change out the picture to a Halloween one, but my question is, how do people store all that stuff?!

I have no idea where I got the orange lights, but while going through my bins, there it was, so I must have bought it at some point.

So that is my Fall creativeness for now. I'll post about our Halloween costumes when I get my act together...it's a lot of hand sewing. Go link up your Fall Creativeness over on The Blended Blog.

5 Favorite Hilton Head Purchases

Hi Foxy Friends! Finally Friday! Felt like a super long week but we made it to Friday! Remember this picture from last week Hilton Head recap? Yeah...that was just one day...we had another day with just as many purchases. We really helped the economy when we travel...we all bought so much we thought we would share our top 5 favorite things we got.

This (similar) red coat, I die, it's so cute. Do I need a coat? No...did I get it anyway, yes. You'll be seeing it a lot...going to wear it any time it dips below 65°(18°C). So Shaunacey might kill me (but she looks super cute, so hopefully not) for this...but she bought the same coat and I didn't take a picture of my jacket. It has the cutest hood EVER! I feel like little red riding hood.

Date Night Dress, it's like I HAD to buy it. A Michael Kors dress for $34 yes please! I have yet to wear it, as the date night we went on last weekend we didn't want to dress up. Maybe I'll save it for Mr.'s birthday in March.

My favorite part is the straps.

I wanted to buy another cross body bag, and I didn't have anything in brown. I like that it is bigger than my other cross body bags and can fit more crap...stuff in it.

Brown Kate Spade Bag (similar)

While at the Kate Spade outlet...I NEEDED this bag, I mean black and white stripe? It was calling my name too. But I had already fond the brown bag...so what did I do? I bought both, duh...it was a "good" deal.

Black and White Kate Spade Bag   (similar and similar

I bought this bag on the way to the airport...yep we stopped at the outlets, so that we could stop here to buy bags so we could get all of our purchases home! haha. Oops.

Vera Bradley Travel Bag (similar not the same color)

Now go check out everyone else's favorite purchases from our trip.

My Subtle Boho Look

Hi Foxy Friends! Today the prompt over on The Blended Blog is Boho...hmmm...my style really isn't Boho...so I'm going to make due with what I have in my closet...I just recently purchased this vest...I don't normally do vests, but it always look so cute on everyone, so I figured I would try it out.

Andrea picked Boho babes, a perfect category for her to pick for this week. For me though? Not so much...but I did recently pick up the vest, and I figure that is my most boho piece I own.

Jeans / Shirt / Vest / Boots (similar)

I picked up the shirt randomly at Nordstrom, when I was with Mini Fox returning something. I felt very Abbie, in that I saw it while walking towards the register, picked it up off the rack barely stopping to look at it and then kept walking. I did the same with this shirt too, styled here.

I always feel like pelpum tops make me look pregnant, I feel like this one doesn't, so that's a good thing. It makes me want to buy all the colors because it's so cute.

5 Fall Traditions

Hi Foxy Friends! Happy Monday! I had a 3 day weekend, it was nice, and I am finally getting better. Apparently the doc thinks I was having asthma, need to follow up with my regular doc, but good news the inhaler is working and I can almost breath again! Woo hoo! Anyway, I'm linking up with The Blended Blog and their Monday theme of Fall Traditions.

We don't necessarily have  "Fall" weather meaning last weekend was 86°F (30 °C - you're welcome Canadian friends), and we were melting at soccer. But here are our Fall Traditions.

Fall in our world means soccer. Baby Fox has been playing the last 4 seasons. And we look forward to it every year. And just this Fall Mini Fox has joined in on the fun. The last 2 years she did Spring ball, but this year she wanted to do Fall, and she is having a blast.

His first game, it was over 100°F

Apple picking, it's so fun, but again, usually really hot! We went once when I was pregnant with Baby Fox, and then the last two years we've been able to go, apple picking is so short here, but we've made it up there twice now and the kids love it!

Halloween! Of course, I wasn't a Halloween person before kids, but now that I have them, I'm all about them! From making them to buying them, I love it all! Once of my favorite years.

The weather starts to turn cool, and we can curl up on a Sunday with a movie and blankets and do nothing all day. It's fun to just be cold for once and bundle up. Which makes getting up for work so much harder!

The Pumpkin patch...we go every year with friends and it's so fun. Although we are having a tough time finding time to go with our friends this year...with our silly soccer schedule it's hard to find a big chunk of time on a Saturday. Hopefully we don't break our 7 year tradition!

2016

2017

Aww, going through these pictures makes me sad that we might not have time to do it this year...gotta find the time in the next 10 days, we can do it!

Alright, those are all of our Fall traditions, head over to The Blended Blog to link up your Fall traditions!
