Friday Favorites #158

Hi Foxy Friends! Happy Friday! Currently we're in the mountains with friends soaking up the last few days of Spring break. So let's get to what we've been up to lately.

In case you missed it on the blog this week:

Monday: TBB Asks -  All Things Spring
Tuesday: March Boxy Charm Unboxing
Wednesday: My Favorite Cheap Sunnies
Thursday: Sentence A Day - March

Some photos I never shared. Every year a local realtor puts on an Easter egg hunt for our neighborhood, the kids look forward to it every year. This year we ACTUALLY made it in time for eggs...getting three kids to smile for a picture...impossible when they just want to get all those eggs!

Easter Bunny is finally here, they can start hunting eggs! I do like that they put the kids according to age group, so they release the kids youngest to oldest...works out great for the littles.

Yep all those dots on the grass...eggs.

Did a little face painting...or in Baby Fox's case, arm painting.

See past pictures with this Easter Bunny here.

Saturday was a great day, we started it off by going to the gym, and then I went into the steam room to relax a bit, then we headed to the mall with some friends to return a bunch of stuff and lunch.

The older boys pushing their younger sisters in the stroller.

Hit up the play place.

Then we went home relaxed for about an hour and headed out to go bowling with some other friends. We haven't done this in over a year and the kids have been asking when we could do it again.

After dinner we colored some eggs, because I realized we didn't do it, ooops!

We made it a tradition to set out your Easter baskets. I didn't want to have to explain why the Easter bunny used the same basket each year, and we can't leave them in the house, cause we only need one creepy dude coming into our house to leave gifts. So Baby Fox sort of came up with leaving them outside for the bunny. Hey it works.

We did church at my parents parish.

Then headed home to find this waiting for us!

We hit up Legoland a few weeks ago. It was nice we weren't in a hurry to get there, we only stayed for 5 hours and headed home. Let the kids mostly run around and play in the different areas.

One of the kids favorite rides.

She's so excited she's finally old enough to ride this!

This kid is tall enough to ride stuff on his own...he felt so big time!

While going on the carousel we ran into the Friends girls, Mini Fox loved that they asked her to ride with them.

Hope you all have a great weekend! See you on Monday for a little closet clean out!

Best Cheap Sunnies

Happy Wednesday Fox Friends! We started something new over on The Blended Blog to help plan your fashion posts, we thought it would be fun to go back to the orginial way we did fashion posts, by bossing your around and telling you what the topic of the week was. This week is sunglasses. Let me tell you, my relationship with sunglasses is a tumultuous one.  Knowing this, I know not to buy expensive ones. Enter the best aviator sunglasses EVER! Actually Mr. bought them first and then I stole all of his, so he ordered more. They are cheap enough you can have a pair in all of your cars, plus your purse. I have them in both the blue and brown.

*Some of the links are affiliate links and I will  either receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you click on it or if you make a purchase from one of these links, I may also receive a commission on the sale of the product. Click here for my disclosure page.

jumpsuit (same style different print, similar here, and here) / sunglasses

Oh and one of the best parts, built in bra and it's a little padded, so you know if you're cold, no one will be able to tell. I wish I had gotten a size smaller, but it still works. Now to get it hemmed, it's 4 inches too long, haha #shortgirlproblems before summer starts.

The necklace is from my friends shop, she has amazing things and was just featured in OC Fashion week! I adore this one, need to tell her I want one. I have this one and wear it ALL the time, it's my go to if I don't feel like trying to find something, it always works. (not affiliate, just really like her stuff).

No way around taking pictures with sunglasses and not seeing what is in front of you...pool and tripod.

Seriously, these glasses are bomb dot com. Plus they come with a hard shell case AND a glasses sleeve. Talk about getting your money worth.

Also linking up with  Anne and this months co-host Jessica for Currently. This months topics are showering, cultivating, expecting, making, and buying.

Showering: Daily? Not sure what I'm suppose to write? Although a friend of mine is pregnant and will probably have a baby shower, so baby shower? Other then that, nothing.

Cultivating: Baby Fox's karate skills. He is doing so well. We stopped for about 4 months and are back at it and it was like no time has passed. I'm excited to see how he grows from here.

Expecting: To got to the beach a LOT this summer. Last summer, well Fall (September and October) we started going a lot with the kids and they had a blast. Now that they are older and more independent we can sit and watch them and not have to play with them the whole time we are there.

Making: Trying out new recipes. I'm starting a new series over on my YouTube channel about trying out random recipes I find and documenting what went wrong, what I would do different the next time. I've tried (but didn't document) Instant Pot Risotto, and it turned out great and it was super easy! I also tried cooking a whole chicken in the Instant Pot, SO yummy!

Buying: Ulta has their 21 days of beauty and they had my favorite eyeliner for half off! So naturally I bought 2, and then I had to get to free shipping, so I bought another one of my favorite eyelash curler (cause it was $5 off, still is) and going to try a new hair mask. Friday they have my favorite Tarte Lip Paint, it's good...you should get some, it's only $10 (normally $20) a tube...worth it! I might pick up enough to get to free shipping, hehe.

Link up your fashion posts below, thank you for making this link up such a success!

TBB Asks: April Spring Edition

Hi Foxy Friends! Happy Monday! Before I start answering today's questions I wanted to say Happy Anniversary to Mr. Today we celebrate 13 years together. One one hand it seemed to fly by and on the other hand I don't really remember life before him. Happy Anniversary Mr. I love you to the moon and back. If you want to see our marriage in numbers, last year I did a post of our marriage in numbers, it was super fun to put together. And to add to that post...

12...the number of months we lived in our apartment after we sold our condo before we bought our house.

13...the number of years we've been married

Okay now for the other questions:

1. What 3 colors remind you of Spring? Pink, Yellow and Baby Blue, although yellow looks awful on me.

2. What is the first thing you add to your wardrobe in Spring?

This is going to sound snobby, but nothing really, since we don't get extreme temps here. I do like to try and add some new t-shirts. I really like these (affiliate)...and am hoping they go on sale when the Nordstrom Anniversary sale comes along in July. Going to stock up if they do!

3.  What is the first wardrobe item you ditch in Spring?

I don't have much that I ditch (see #2), but I definitely don't wear my jackets, mostly stick to sweaters.

4.  Who mows your grass where you live?

Gardener, I am so allergic to grass, I don't think anyone wants me out there mowing the lawn.

5. What is Spring like where you live?

Currently it's 70°F, and pretty much perfect weather here.

6.  What's your favorite thing about Spring?

The longer days, the blooming flowers and the excitement for summer and planing summer things. Are you a Spring cleaner?

8.  Are you a baseball fan?

Mr does? Does that count? But since I've been married to him I've watch a LOT more baseball than normal. We even watch the draft...

9.  Tulips or Daffodils?

Tulips, colorful ones.

10.  Favorite outdoor Spring activity.

When we can start swimming again. Which is usually Memorial Day weekend.

11.  Flower in the ground or in pots?

Well I have a black thumb, so I'm going to say in the ground, because I can't for the life of me remember to water the plants...so at least in the ground they get water from the sprinklers. These are from Costco, those bulbs, and they keep coming back, sometimes several times in a season. I don't have to do anything, which is the best part.

12. Favorite Bird?

Humming bird, and blue bird, they are just so pretty when I see them in my backyard.

13. Car wash or wash vehicles at home?

Car wash, but that never happens, so wash at home because the kids help and it takes up a good chunk of afternoon and they love it.

14.  When do you pull out your sandals?

They're petty much out all the time? Typically they aren't worn from December to about Mid February. Mr. wears them everyday...no matter the temps outside. Not that it gets that cold, but for me low 50's is cold.

So what are some of your Spring favorites? Answer the questions below or go link up your blog pst over on The Blended Blog
