I figured I didn't really need anything and everything seemed to be geared towards back to school, so I got all things that had to do with back to school. I've been trying to teach him how to read a clock and we made a make shift one, so I thought I would get him this. We played with it over the weekend, he was so cute filling out all of the numbers.
I saw this and had to have it. I have no idea what I'm going to use it for...what can I spell with 10 blocks? Hmmm...I'm thinking I'll put it in my kitchen window, or maybe it will be a part of my mantel for Fall...
I've also been working with Baby Fox on learning money, but turns out Mini Fox attached herself to this, and Baby Fox had no interest, perhaps it's because I was making him learn with it. I gave it up for now and we'll see. Perhaps I need to find some other way to make him interested in learning money.
Okay onto my random story. My friend texts me one night and says, hey rumor has it those back to school boards are in stock at Target right now. Okay back track to last September when everyone is posting their kids with these fantastic "My First Day Of..." boards and I'm jealous beyond belief and can't find it. Queue me waiting for 10 months and stocking Target like a crazy person for them to come back. Okay back to my story, my friend texts me, and I literally jump in my car at 9:15pm and hop on over to my friendly target.
I found the gems above. My precious board was not found. Feeling defeated I was driving home and decided there is another Target about a mile from here, I'm going for it. Here is my crazy face I sent to my friend.
And guess what? Yep after search every single shelf...I found it under here.
Wanna see them? This is the chalk board version.
This is the dry erase one.
And don't think I didn't buy them all. My friend wanted one of each and then well I had to buy the others for friends, just in case. In case you wanted to know, it's $5 each, what a steal right? I would have included these in my $10 haul, but I had already bought the other stuff, and didn't really want to return it.
So my total:
Chalk board clock - $3
Chalk Cubes - $3
Play Money - $3
Total: $9.83
Under budget, but technically over, because I then bought $30 worth of chalk boards 15 minutes later at a different Target. Oops. Target you got me again.
