Friday Favorites #164

Happy Friday Foxy Friends! Man this week was a long one. Today I am helping my mom with her church Mother's Day tea

In case you missed it this week:

Monday: 10 Favorite TV And Movies
Tuesday: Kids Interview Mom
Wednesdsay: Favorite Summer Dresses
Thursday: Day In The Life

I also put together 2 videos this week, one on Mother's Day where I talk about Baby Fox's birth story.

I also posted another one on Tuesday where I let the kids interview me. Usually I am interviewing and asking them questions, but I gave them free reign to ask me anything.

Last night I went to Mom's night out and it was so needed. After Mr. being away for 8 days, this mama needed some time with girlfriends. It was so nice to catch up and eat dinner at a slow pace.

Sorry about that large bruise on my arm, allergy shots, hazard of allergy shots I guess. But know that in the 4 years I've been doing them, this has only happened a few times.

I already recapped Saturday here, but Friday we had one more dinner sans Mr. and it was nice to see friends to end the week without Mr. I can't remember what we were watching...Caroline?

Sunday was church, and Mr. and I got lots of sleep, he was smart and didn't take any naps when he got home, so he got back on our time zone pretty quickly. I just love this new church, some friends go there and convinced us to try it out. Love that the kids run around after church making friends.

Then I remembered to actually get pictures!

I told Mr. what I wanted for Mother's Day was to go to the grocery store by myself...I might have stopped her before hitting up the grocery store.

I also went to Kohl's to return an Amazon package, and to get that 25% off coupon...I got some 4th of July decorations and a bunch of summer clothes for the kids. Then I went to the grocery store to get the food for the week and went home to cook all of my chicken.

Life hack right here. Cook a bunch of chicken at once. Cut into cubes, separate into portions, and freeze. Then the night before take out of freezer, put in lunch and by lunch it's deforsted and ready to go. This was two baking sheets worth and probably 3-4 weeks worth of lunches, worth it! Sunday night we went to my parents house which I totally forgot to take a picture, darn! But we did eat these...

I wanted to make some Lumpia this weekend. I told Mr. and he was totally on board, but said that cooking in a regular pan wouldn't do, so he bought me a fryer. Wish me luck and pray we don't burn the house down.

I also got this dress in the mail and it is so super cute. But I think it's made for someone much taller, it sweeps the ground a bit, but it's super cute so I'm keeping it. Also what bra does one wear with it? This one maybe? Any suggestions?

I also want these sandals, but haven't pushed the buy button yet. I hear they are super comfortable and they are cute, I think I'll wear them a lot this summer. The only hesitation i have, is my scar from my ankle surgery, doesn't always like ankle straps...hmmm...??? I might have to get them and see for myself...

I also really want these wedges, but I don't wear wedges enough to justify them...but doesn't make me want them any less.

This was just so sweet, a father/son duo who wrote the song that they auditioned with on Britain's Got Talent and then got the Golden Buzzer from Simon.

A new show this Fall, so excited to see this. Looks so good. Hopefully I can talk Mr. into watching it with me.

I just saw this preview. I'm a sucker for previews. Anyone else watch the previews on YouTube? They keep suggesting things to watch, I keep clicking on them.

A Day In The Life

I am linking back up with Lizzie , Sierra , Danielle , Emily, and Lindsay for Girl Chat. This month we're sharing A Day In The Life. I love documenting these days, because sometimes I just take pictures of the good stuff and not the "mundane" stuff. I know I'm going to love looking back on these when the kids are older and this age is just a distant memory. I decided to document last Saturday. It was a bit of a crazy day and I forgot to document the beginning of it, oops! Already a fail, but I continued on...

I let Baby Fox sleep with me on Friday night, so going into Saturday morning we woke up together. He woke up a little earlier then I wanted, so I sent him downstairs to watch some tv.

I eventually realized I had to feed the minions breakfast so I could get everyone to their sporting events on time. We just got these frozen waffles, I haven't ever bought frozen waffles and these just looked cute, so I figured let's give them a try for weekends like this. The kids want waffles but I don't have time to make them. They were a hit, Baby Fox ate 8 (they are about 1.5 inch circles). Mini Fox could care less, okay enough about waffles.

Got the both kids ready in their uniform and cleats on (man getting long socks and cleats on...a workout in itself. I dropped Mini Fox off at my parents so they could take her to soccer.

While I drove Baby Fox to Laguna Beach for his game.

That's him pitching

Baby Fox is in Single A Little League, which means they start pitching to each other half way through the season. Baby Fox was itching to pitch and I am so happy he finally got to pitch, the last inning of the season. He did great! I videoed it for Mr. who was on a plane flying home.

Meanwhile back at my parents, Mini Fox was practicing for my parent's church Mother's Day tea...she's so cute.

After Baby Fox's game, I picked up Mini Fox from my parents and we headed over to Baby Fox's team party.

Last game of the season, seems like just yesterday that we started, the season was definitely too short!

After the team party we headed to Costco to get some food and of course Costco got me and we bought  a bunch of stuff that we really didn't need. Like these things...they are floaties for the pool, I hope they work in the pool.

Also saw a lady doing hand dipped strawberries, had to get some of those too, right?

We got home and the kids were wiped, so we watched Finding Dory while we waited for Mr. to get home.

Mr. finally got home, the kids couldn't get to the front door fast enough. So nice to have Mr. back in the country.

Immediately they started asking where their gift was. Mr. had previously told them he got us all gifts.

After gifts I ran to the grocery store to pick up cake mix to make my mom for Mother's Day. I forgot a bag and gosh darn I am not paying 10 cents for a plastic one.

Mr. was pretty hungry so I volunteered to go get him his favorite Mexican burrito.

Do you see how much stuff is in that burrito? That's why he likes it there so much. This is also the place that we always get our catering from. Everyone always loves Mexican.

We chowed down and the rest of the evening was spent together playing and relaxing together.

Mr. was super tired with it being a 15 hour time difference. So we went to bed just after the kids, it was nice getting so much sleep.

7 Dresses To Wear This Summer

Hi Foxy Friends! Today I'm linking up with The Blended Blog and today is a different topic then what I had planned for. Oops! But I guess it could work, but it's a little more casual than I would normally dress for Graudation. I think dress option 1 and 2 would definitely work thought. With that behind me, I'm going to show you all of the dresses I have bought recently to hopefully get me through the summer! Granted I haven't actually received them, but it's what I think I'm going to wear? You'll probably see them on the blog eventually. Anyway, the first dress is actually from Shein, and while Shein is hit or miss for me, this one was a total hit and at $15, can't beat it!

Dress / Sandals (similar)

The material is super soft and it has pockets! Win in my book. I see myself wearing this out to dinner with my family, something to keep my legs warm, add a light sweater and I'm good to go.

Some of the other dress that I've bought..I might have bought them in the last few days, Ooops! Also, Old Navy is having an extra 30%-40% off of everything, but it ends today (use code Style), Wednesday, so hop on it and get yourself some good deals. I got those swing dresses for under $13. Deal and a half.

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6

Here are some shoe choices that can go with any of the dresses.

 1 / 2 / 3

And here is some jewelry that would look great with any of the dress choices. Mix and match and you will look super put together!

Kids Interview Mom

Hi Foxy Friends! Today is going to be a first on the blog. Usually I interview the kids, but today, they are interviewing me! A few other mom's on YouTube were going to do this together and I couldn't wait to jump on board. I went into the interview not knowing what they were going to ask me. It was actually quite fun, and totally random!

Baby Fox

What is your favorite color? Blue-green or teal

What's your favorite yarn color? (I have no idea why he asked this, I don't even know how to use yarn...i.e. crochet or knitting) Purple

What your favorite insect? Grasshopper

What's your favorite arachnid? Tarantula

Bonus Question:

What is your favorite food that we've made from Mini Fox's Princess cook book? Monkey bread - video of the kids doing that, coming soon!

Mini Fox

What kind of dog is your favorite doggy? Yellow golden retriever

What is your favorite necklace? The one with the two pearlized balls

What's your favorite blanket? A gray soft one that we got from Costco

What's your favorite kind of bird? Blue Jay's or Humming bird

What is your favorite kind of flower? Pink Tulip

Bonus Question:

So, the bonus question is going to be....are you good at math (haha, not sure why he asked this, as he knows the answer, lol)? I am good at math because I am engineer, you have to be pretty good at math to be an engineer.

Of course I filmed it. So glad that I did, as I want to remember their sweet voices as they were asking me these questions. Here's the video if you want to hear how they ask the questions.

My 10 Favorite Movies and TV Shows

Hi Foxy Friends! Happy Mother's Day for all of your Foxy Mama's out there. We had a really great day, church with friends followed by shopping by myself  and then some movie watching with the kids and popcorn (my favorite food on earth), and then dinner with my parents. Couldn't have been a better day. But today I am linking up with The Blended Blog for the Monday prompt, favorite Movies and TV shows...I'm going to ignore the books part, because I haven't been reading much.

Let's do 5 of each, cause, I like things to be even. So let's get started:

Obsessed with this movie right now. And the behind the scenes on the video...loved it all! If you haven't seen it, go see it right now, and then fall in love with the music and all the characters with me.

I just love the overall message of this, and everyone loves a good Cinderella movie right?

I liked this movie a lot and loved seeing the background of Wonder Woman, as I had no idea where she came from. They did a really good job with this movie.

Have you seen any of these movies? I loved the whole trilogy. Usually you don't like them all, but each one is different it its own way.

Something that we'll always watch when one comes out.  These aren't all of them, but we're always entertained. Doesn't take much to entertain us. These aren't my favorite of all time, but some of the movies that we've been watching lately.

Need I say more about this one?

This so is so dang funny. If you haven't seen it, it's a great comedy.

This is a Netflix original, and such a unique concept. Defintely a good summer show to watch. Oh and do the subtitled version and not the English dub. I think you get more out of it hearing how it was originally done.

Also another Netflix original and super unique that has you wanting more. Unfortately it did get canceled, bur rumor has it they are coming out with a movie to wrap it all up.

I think this is also a Netflix original, man netflix is killing it. Such a great concept for a show, I don't want to give it away, but go watch it, it does not disappoint. Very Sci-Fi, so if you aren't into that, then this is not for you.

What are some of the movies and tv shows you like that we should watch? We just recently started watching Glitch, it's about people coming back from the dead, but not as zombies as themselves and not remembering that they were dead. It's super interesting, we're only 4 episodes in, but so far, so good.
