Hi Foxy friends! I've seen some friends do this a few times, but I thought I would actually participate this month. Thanks Amber for the link up, and blog topic for this currently blog writers block lady. Hey It's Okay:
...to not be blogging at the moment, life is busy and I want to spend my time enjoying Summer with the kids, perhaps I'll get my mojo back come next month.
...to be excited about my birthday at the end of the month and celebrating with friends.
...to have laundry stacked up and in the piles that I need to wash, but just never do.
...that I want to read all of my friends blogs, but between work and kid activities it's just too much, hence the blog break.
...that I would rather be doing my newest craft obsession, making keychains and tumblers.
...that I am more excited than sad that my youngest is starting Kinder in a couple of weeks.
Last one...
It's okay that I am not the crying parent that balls her eyes out when kids start school, specifically Kindergarten, more excited for them to learn all the things.

Favorite Binge Shows
Hello Foxy Friends! I thought this was a great prompt as Mr. and I have definitely been binge watching some shows this summer. Today I'm linking up with Shay and Erica for their Let's Look At series, see all previous posts here.
So here we go:
We just started the second season of The Sinner Monday night and it definitely did not disappoint, happy that they didn't ruin it. So good, and we can't wait to get to the bottom of the mystery.
We just finished season 3 of 3% over the weekend, again another GREAT show, and season 3 had us just as engaged as season 1. This is a subtitled show, make sure to NOT do the English dubbed as it translates best in the original language, Portuguese.
I used to watch this show back in the day, but then the second kid came and all those shows I used to watch went out the window. I never finished Once Upon A Time, so I'm watching those episodes I never watched. Currently on season 5.
On the let's finish up series that I didn't get to because I had kids, I watched the rest of The Originals too. That was a good series. I was contemplating going back and watching Vampire Diaries too, in case you didn't know Originals is a spin off of Vampire Diaries.
The whole reason I finished watching The Originals was so I could watch the Spin off called Legacies. I don't have cable and I'm going to be really sad that I have to wait till next summer to watch it, it ended on a cliff hanger. Hopefully Hulu gets it! Fingers crossed.
Wondering when I watch all these shows? At the gym, I was out of lifting weights for about 3 months, so instead of not going to the gym at all, I went and walked at a slow pace on the treadmill, I figured that was better than nothing? So I got to watch a lot of shows while walking.
Another show Mr. and I binged watched was a Netflix series called Another Life. Really good if you like Sci-Fi. If you didn't catch it, Mr. and I watch a lot of Sci-Fi.
I think that's all for now. Shows that we don't binge watch but do watch, is Handmaids Tale (can't wait for the season finale this week!), at least I think it's the last episode. We did watch Game of Thrones, what did you think of that ending? I didn't love it, but didn't hate it as much as some people did. Of course Grey's Anatomy, Blackish, Fresh off the Boat, and Modern Family are all in our weekly rotation.
Any shows we need to binge watch?

How to Tie Dye A Shirt
Hi Foxy Friends! So much has happened over the summer! For a much later post, I keep thinking, I should write about what we've been doing, but then time passes and it seems pointless...eventually I'll recap it...maybe. Anyway moving right along. We went to Hawaii this summer with some friends, actually two sets of friends, the first 6 days with some family friends and the last 4 days was spent with school friends. What do you do when you are traveling with other people, you make shirts of course.

I made the first set of shirts using my circut. Here's a video on I did it. I think they turned out pretty great. In case you wanted to know what shirt we are wearing, we are wearing these the kids are wearing these, both shirts are in Tropical Blue.
For the second set of shirts, we decided to do a little Tie Dying, because who doesn't love that? We had to make shirts for 11 adult shirts (5 woman, 6 men) and 8 kids, so 19 shirts in total, and we only needed one bucket of Tie Dye. Granted the last few shirts were all of the left over colors, see Mr.'s shirt, it was black and green. It ended up working out, and the adult men didn't particularly care.
Tie Dying is super easy! Don't be overwhelmed. Sorry I didn't take pictures of all of the steps. Let's get to it.
What You'll Need:
Tie Dye Kit
Shirts (same as the ones from above)
Water
Bucket
Directions:
Step 1: Get shirts wet, we filled up the sink with water and let them soak for a few minutes, then you have to really wring out the shirts so there isn't dripping water.
Step 2: While the shirts are soaking, start filling your bottles with water. The kit comes with powder in each bottle, you need to add water and shake.
Step 3: Use the rubber bands given in the kit (they gave us enough that we didn't have any any issues with running out, even with all of the shirts we dyed) and shape and tie your shirts.
There are so many different patterns you can do. Two of us did hearts on our shirts, and I think it turned out pretty good. Really you can't go wrong, I YouTubed How to Tie Dye and found a bunch, also Googled and got a bunch of hits as well. But the directions in the kit give you the basic ones and that's pretty much what we did.
Step 4: Protect your table (we did it on the grass so it didn't totally matter, mostly we put something down because we didn't want grass on our wet shirts).
Go to town on the shirts. Don't forget to dye both sides of your shirt. And remember that the colors are going to spread a bit, so if you are using more than one color, don't put them too close together. Or be aware of what colors make what, like blue and yellow will make green, so if you don't want a ton of green space out your colors a bit.
note: make sure to use the gloves given, or your own as the dye does dye your hands and it takes a few days to get it off.
This is all of the shirts all done.
Shirt decorating is most fun late at night right? If we had more time I probably wouldn't have put some Vinyl on it, but I didn't, we left for our trip the next day.
Step 5: We put our shirts in baggies, each shirt got it's own baggie. Leave in baggie for at least 24 hours.
Step 6: After 24 hours, rinse out the shirts in the sink. Trying to get all of the excess dye out. We didn't want to have to do 19 loads of laundry, so what we did was washed them and used a color catcher. Seemed to work as nothing was leaked onto another shirt. Wash as normal, and enjoy!
They turned out great and the kids love wearing them post trip. It's really easy and super fun to make them, and yes a little messy! Enjoy!

Prime Purchases
Last year I saw Andrea post her favorite Prime Purchases, and she was linking up to Tayna
who hosts the link up. Super fun, right? You see what I'm buying that I
don't need/purchasing and we all get to then want to buy all the
things, keeping the economy going right there. Click here to see my past purchases. Okay let's get started!
*Some of the links are affiliate links and I will either receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you click on it or if you make a purchase from one of these links, I may also receive a commission on the sale of the product. Click here for my disclosure page.
I know Amazon Prime day happened in July, but we found almost nothing to get, I was a bit disappointed in the whole day. We did get my dad this, he was stopped at our house everyday while we were away on vacation and ended up needed to stay to fill the pool, he was so excited to use Alexa for the first time.
We needed a new can opener, this was on Prime Day, these are the ONLY two things we bought...crazy right?
In other Amazon things we bought:
This is the third pair of these shoes I've bought. Once in a regular store, then I realized they were on Amazon, these are my 2nd pair on Amazon, and third time I've purchased them. I feel like they are slightly more fancy than regular flip flops...I wear them everywhere. OH and size up...they run a little small.
I got this for vacation and it worked really well, got the pictures I wanted and kept my phone safe. So many times we'll go swimming and I never take photos because I don't want to ruin my phone. This was perfect.
You all know that I love crafting. Recently I figured out how to put vinyl on a trucker hat, super easy (of course I made a video, coming at you soon). These are what the hats looked like.
When you heat press the vinyl on, you need to use this heat resistant tape.
Baby Fox needed some new shoes for school, we really like these, they are the second pair we've bought. Yes he can tie his own shoes, but he still prefers the velcro, I mean who wouldn't, tying is just annoying.

I decided to jump on the metal straw train. I wanted to fancy up my straws so I got some rainbow iridescent ones. Of course. They are pretty awesome as far as metal straws go.
I eat these every single day for breakfast...for the last 2ish years. I know you'd think I'd get tired of them, so far not yet.
Okay that's everything I bought on Amazon, okay that's not totally true, Mr. bought some random stuff, like this gopher catcher, we tried these, but it just moved them around the yard, we've been dealing with the gopher for the last 7 weeks, it's winning big time and our front yard is a MESS!
Mr. really likes the wooden spoons that have a corner part...I bought one once way back when and he uses it almost everyday, he felt like he needed two, in case the one was dirty...so he bought another.
Now that is really almost everything we bought, some random house stuff, like dental floss and bottles to hold some of my craft stuff...not fun stuff really. What have you been buying lately?

NSale Purchases
Hi Foxy Friends! Well that was a longer break than intended! Summer has me running all over the place. But I couldn't pass up tradition and not tell you what I got at the #NSale. Truth be told, I only got the nordstrom card so I could have early access and then guess who didn't realize the Nsale was happening and got it on the last day of early access. Darn it! Oh well, there is always next year! I've gotten a few things, and so far I haven't kept anything.
Oh and as of right now, 11pm PDT Tuesday night, everything I mention right now is still in stock.
*Some of the links are affiliate links and I will either receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you click on it or if you make a purchase from one of these links, I may also receive a commission on the sale of the product. Click here for my disclosure page.
This sweater is so darn cute, but looks like I am wearing a whole sheep, it comes up so far on my face it looks like I'm getting ready to hunker down for a 10 year winter. Returned.
I also got a couple of sweaters to try out. I need a new sweater like a need a hole in my head, but they were calling my name...really they were. I wanted a light weight sweater to wear to the gym, and all of mine are dark colors, I really wanted a lighter color. I also got another cardigan for work, I have a maroon one that I wear all the time, and this one comes pretty close to it.
Speaking of outter layers, for someone who can really only wear them 2.5 (and that is stretching it) of the year, I really do own too many jackets and sweaters. But I almost always add a couple during the sale, I'm hoping this really work out, and they were super reasonably priced too. I love the drappy-ness of this jacket, I have a similar one that is grey, so of course I need a black one too. I don't have a faux suede jacket, so of course I had to get that one too. Both in black, oops!
I got this shirt in two colors, a black and a stripe and both of them are see through. No joke, I held it up to my face and my son said, I can see your face through your shirt. Then when I put it on, it was so wide, I could probably fit my whole body through the neck...no go. Both returned.
I'm on the hunt for a pair of black pants to replace the super comfortable black pants I already own...Hoping this or this one works out. But if all else fails, the camo will make me feel better right? Loving the lighter camo look.
I have to admit that the shoe selection was a bit disappointing. I usually get a few pairs, but this time I only got two. I got these boots. I always have problems with knee high boots, but these are so cute and they came in wide calf, all measurements seem like they will fit, fingers crossed.
The other pair was a pair of Vans, like I need another pair of slip on shoes, but hey, I can't say no to polka dots.
I also got a few pairs of no show socks. I'm really hoping these work, currently I wear no socks with slip ons, but sometimes you just want some socks ya know? I got these, these and these. I hope they work out!
And an honorable mention, this cute bralette is price matched, currently 30% off, making it $26. It's the one everyone is wearing and is oh so cute. I can see it with some rompers now.
Okay that is really everything I bought. Typically I end up returning about half, but I really hope it all works out! Okay, I don't really need both jackets, so I'll probably choose one and return the other. Othe than that, I really hope it all stays! I'll keep you posted.
What's in your shopping cart? Anything else that I need to get?

So I know this is totally touristy and all, but I notice whenever we're on a vacation where there is a lot of sitting around at the pool, I never take pictures, because don't want to ruin my phone. So I bought these, I got one, in Magenta. Then Mr. said he might as well get one too. He was pretty sure his phone was water resistant, but didn't want to take the chance, at under $10 worth it to buy now than pay the resort prices.
Before school ended I bought Baby Fox this workbook, I've bought them the last 2 years, I've typically bought the year he was going into, this year was no different. I bought the 3rd grade math book. Well the 3rd grade math book assumes you've gone through 3rd grade, makes sense, but most of it is Multiplication! Oops, Baby Fox knows the mechanics behind what it is, but doesn't know it. When I saw Lindsay bought these for her son, I knew they were perfect, so I grabbed some too. They came in the mail day before yesterday and he's obsessed. We spend a lot of time in the car, so he's going to practice in the car probably.
Baby Fox also wants to learn cursive before he gets to 3rd grade, so we got him this book. It's great because it has you practice the letters and then to practice writing the letters together they have you write bible verses and at the end of the book, there are some fancier pages so you can give the pages to family and friends, which I think is cute.
We're headed to Hawaii with some friends, and we decided we wanted to make tie dye shirts...I bought this tie die, the reviews are pretty good, I'll get back to you on how it works and how many shirts we get out of it. We're making them tonight!
Baby Fox went to his first real all day camp a couple of weeks ago, and they were making lanyards, do you remember those plastics things you use to make as a kid? Well it stands the test of time, because Baby Fox is obsessed and wanted me to get him some, I'm surprising him with some for our trip. It's a long flight.

Baby Fox loves reading, he saw this book at a friends and wanted it, it took him 2 days to read.
I finally jumped on the packing cube train! I bought two sets of these. I was able to use them and pack Mr. for an 8 day trip in a carry on suitcase. See that recap here.
Last thing, well not really I got a bunch of random stuff I'm sure no one else has any interest in...but I love these headphones. They're cheap so if you loose them, not a huge deal. The last pair I bought on Amazon Day, so it lasted a good 11 months, pretty good, considering I use them at least 3 times a week.

So that is what I've been buying lately. Truth be told most of these things were bought in the last 10 days. I know so bad! In case you wanted to know:
We bought this dental floss, this shampoo, this respirator filter, and this vacuum cleaner filter
So what have you been buying lately? Anything I NEED?
