Day In The Life

Last year I sporadically linked up with Kristin for her Daily Dime, and I thought I would really try to do it this year and be more consistent.  So here we go, I picked yesterday to document, mostly because I forgot I was doing this post and I happened to work from home yesterday, so I thought, hey I've never documented that before. So here we go.

The reason I was working from home was because I had a doctors appointment and Mr. had the day off for Presidents Day (I did not), so this is a doubly weird day for us.

I wanted to get up at 6...but being sick I needed the extra sleep.

The view from my bedroom "office" aka a card table set up in our sitting area.

I loved hearing the kids help out with chores, they knocked on the door and needed to come get the laundry...team work down the stairs.

Lunch with Mr., I was working, so I threw on some clothes, no make barely brushed hair...

We had to stop and get gas. Please ignore those bags under the eyes, hence why I need concealer, haha.

Talked to my cousin while driving to my allergy appointment, the conversation lasted 15 minutes.

When I got to the doctors...this is the view of the walk...oops the power just went out...waiting 30 minutes for them to reschedule...boo! Now I have to come back and I was hoping to get some better meds for my sinus stuff. It was a really creepy walk.

I worked a bit more then headed to gymnastics for Mini Fox and Trampoline class for Baby Fox.

Some friends were driving through and needed a break from the traffic before heading home, I grabbed some Chick-Fil-A  and then the boys (yep including Mr.) got in a Nerf war, while the mommy's talked and watched. The girls were playing dolls else where.

To end the night this guy needed some surgery on his wing, so I stitched him up.

Now I need to go print off a picture of Shaun White for Baby Fox's report and then shower and bed. So that is a random Monday around these parts. Really random since a friend and two of her four kids came over. But really nice to see them, they live about 125 miles north of us, so we don't get to see them all too often.

Join in next month! I think she's going live March 14th.

Sunday In 10 Pictures

Last year I sporadically linked up with Kristin for her Daily Dime, and I thought I would really try to do it this year and be more consistent.  So here we go, I picked Sunday, January 14th to document.

Day started out with some family snuggles and a nice breakfast for Daddy, kids decided they wanted cereal, not picture worthy, haha.

Then time to get ready for church, the products I'm using today.

What is a church without donuts, they go hand in hand right? We rotate who picks which donut shop we go to, this time it was Baby Fox's choice and he picked what we have dubbed "The New Place".

After donuts, a friend came over with her daughter to pick up Mini Fox and me for a little shopping. But before that could commence some signing of the cast had to be done. She finally decided certain people could sign her cast, Baby And Mini Fox made the list.

I have been organizing our pantry and motivated her to organize hers too, so we took the girls and off we went to The Container Store we went.

The girls were really good, so we got them some ice cream.

Then maybe Mommy's had to do some other shopping, cough, cough DSW, Nordstrom Rack.

In case you were wondering, Mini Fox changed into the dress to go shopping, she wore pants and a fuzzy dress to church, haha.

The girls might have gotten some new shoes which prompted a photo shoot...now if only that man in the background would have just scooted a little further up the steps. ah well! They are cute.

Back at the house I excitedly washed and labeled my new jars...was sad that some of them didn't workout but have remedied that and they are all on their way. Can I tell you that the Container Store had very little containers left, they were WIPED out...apparently everyone had the same thoughts.

Last came some weekly lunch prep, this week is Chicken salad.

That was my Sunday in 11 photos, although I'm going to count 10 because the two casts pictures are one...same picture different kid. haha.

A Day In the Life

After reading Stephanie's post last month about the Daily Dime link up, I knew I had to participate too, so I'm linking up with a few other bloggers for:

Okay let's get started, I decided to record last Thursday, August 10, we were leaving for our trip to go to central California.

I need to get allergy shots once a week, if you go longer than 10 days you have to re-do shots, I don't want that, so up early to get to the office when it opened to be the first one in line.

The family we are meeting up with, I went to college with, she was in my wedding when I got married, and I was in hers, and Mr. was the best man at their wedding. She loves donuts, specifically Apple Fritter and the donut place near us has the best apple fritters, so I had to pick some donuts for everyone.

And we're off!

We had to pass by where my cousin lives and they have the BEST sandwiches at this deli, so she and her kids met up with us.

Lots of driving, but at least we got a good view for a good portion of the drive, a longer ocean route is better than desert of nothingness.

We took a different way, and ended up getting stopped at some construction, while we stopped, we found out that just up the road was an Indian Cave with some cave painting, small detour it is. (had to take this picture through a gate)

Before meeting up with our friends, we stopped at a park to let the kids blow off some steam, we have been in the car for about 6 hours. The view was gorgeous!

Friends are a little late getting to down town, but we found a candy shop to explore.

After dinner we took our friends to the candy shop, and ended up getting gelato, so yummy!

Great way to end the evening. The kids had a blast hanging out with their friends and we hope to do this again next year! Next time we'll be adding one more kid to the mix (not from us, from our friends), 5 kids, 4 adults, fun times.

Our Weekend in 10 Photos

I figure since Shay and Erica's Workin' It Wednesday topic, is a weekend life, and after reading Stephanie's post last month about the Daily Dime link up, I knew I had to participate too, so I'm also linking up with a few other bloggers for:

These pictures are from July 8-9 , unfortunately Mini Fox was sick so we spent a LOT of time inside watching tv and relaxing. But that's life for you right?

Saturday morning started off with my new favorite class called Lifebarre

Then I got to take a leisure shower and get ready, obviously no pictures allowed in the locker room. Picked up Baby Fox at the kids academy (Mini Fox was sick so she stayed behind with Daddy at home), we headed home and then some friends came over for some swimming and dinner.

The best part, is that they can all swim so we can sit and watch and chat, we chatted about our next trip together, we're thinking Hawaii.

Sunday, Mini Fox was still sick so she did a lot of this:

I took a few hours and meal prepped for the week. Ran out of containers, so had to improvise until more containers are available this week.

Mr. helped me fix my blog, phew, glad he knew what to do.

Meanwhile, Baby Fox worked on some Lego Nexo Knight stuff.

We all needed to get out of the house, so we treated the kids to some Yogurtland, because when you get a buy one get one free you take advantage of it. Bonus: The lady gave us the coupon back so we can use it again!

But mostly this happened a good portion of the day.

We put the kids to bed and then watched our new favorite show Turn (have you seen it? It's on Netflix and it's about the revolutionary war, super interesting).

Mr. is drinking beer, I am drinking water...trying not to snack at night...so....hard.

Update: Mini Fox's fever went up to 102.7, so we're taking her into the doctors today...fingers crossed it's nothing and that she doesn't have to do any breathing treatments or antibiotics. Anyone else feel like you don't want to bother the doctor with taking them in all the time, and mostly they tell you it's a virus, it will pass, but there is that small part of you that needs to take them in, just to make sure? I hoe they don't have on their record, "that annoying mother that brings them in for a cold"

Okay, back on topic...if you want the other topics for Workin' Wednesday for the rest of the year.
