Halloween Decorations

Hi Foxy Friends! Long time no see? I have all these ideas and I take pictures or videos and then never follow through. One day I'll have it together, but until then here are my Halloween decorations. I decorated my mantel for Easter...and then took the bunny stuff off and tried to make it Spring-ish, and then it just sat there until this weekend. Oops. I realize now how much I love having a decorated mantel so I'm going to be better and decorate it more. Okay so here's my mantel.

But here's the process of getting there, thought I'd show you what it looks like for a good 2 hours before I finish...I thought this was bad and took a picture, but then realized after we had unpacked it all that I was missing a box...oops!

Then it turned into this...

The candles in the hurricanes are these ones. They are remote control timer (I have these but so many more have come out since I bought them 3 years ago, like these (which are wider than what I have) or these) you can set them for 4, 6, 8 or 10 hours. It's pretty awesome to have the lights come on and not have to remember to do it. The orange string lights are also on a plug timer (similar to this one, but this one works with Alexa and Google Home, which is pretty cool, might have to switch mine out)

I had enough decorations to also fix up the piano.

The tea lights are also a timer, but they don't have a remote, it's 6 hours on, 18 hours off, so you have to turn them on at the start of when you want them on, which is sort of nice you don't have to keep track of a remote control.

I found the little skull voltive holders at Michael's the other weekend. the sticks I found at Hobby Lobby last year when they were doing their get rid of all Halloween in November. They still had tags on them. The pumpkins are from the dollar section at Target. When you are doing your garland, try to find two different textures and layer them together. Gives it more dimension and something to look at and fill the gaps in a bit.

Mini Fox decorated this all on her own. She found a bunch of left over stuff, mostly the few Fall decorations I have. Not sure where the rest of it is...hmmm...I thin she did a pretty dang good job!

Then I made this porch sign last weekend. I'm obsessed with making them. Yet again another post/video I have made, but yet to edit and put together...one day it will happen. But I did make a Tik Tok, go like it and say hi, will make my day!

Forgot about the bats, I made them on my Circut with removable vinyl. Mini Fox kept insisting we needed more, so I kept making more...

Then I have ONE Fall thing...usually I put the leaves and stuff under it, but Mini Fox wanted them for the front table. I still like it though. Got that sign at Hobby Lobby a few years ago, it was sitting at the check out line, someone didn't want it, their trash is my treasure right?

How have you been decorating for Halloween or Fall? We aren't sure yet what we're doing for Halloween, but we did pick up some costumes at Costco, can't beat those prices, especially since we don't know if we're going out or not. What are your plans for Halloween?

Deer Make Up For A Beginner

Hi Foxy Friends! Today I am bringing you, a little late, a deer make up look. I did this for two events I went to with the kids, it was super fun to be dressed up for Halloween, without actually having to wear a costume. Make up does wonders! As I was looking around for Deer make up looks, they were all using things that I didn't have, nor did I have time to go buy, or want to buy. So I took bits and pieces here and there and put together what I thought made you look like a deer.

Make Up Used:

Other Things Used:
Flowers - Hobby Lobby

I ended up wearing a short sleeved top because it was 90° outside...no way was I going to wear pants, a long sleeve shirt and a fur vest...

Sorry the pictures are off centered, we were late to our Halloween function and Mr. was wearing his costume and wearing this funky wig and he couldn't see anything...haha!

Long Cardigans and Catching Up

Today you're getting a two for one. I'm linking up with The Blended Blog and the host Lana for the theme Long Cardigans. Truth be told I don't have a ton of long cardigans, although I think it looks great on other people, being on the shorter side, it's hard to find the right length that doesn't make me look WAY shorter than the look I am going for.

Also eating these, I really like them and can finish them off within a week...oops!

2. What I'm Reminiscing About

Past Halloween costumes, awww, the kids were so small! I love that we have created a tradition with friends to dress up. My favorites are the family themed ones, this year, we're in full family theme, and I cannot wait for Wednesday!

5. What I'm Dreading

Not much right now.

6. What I'm Working On

The Halloween costumes! I'm sewing, sewing sewing. I still have my top part to sew...so I think I'll be okay, but I need more TIME! Sneak Peek....

7.  What I'm Excited About

All the holiday things coming up and decorating for Christmas. With tomorrow being November 1st, is it too early? I'm thinking we might start next weekend though, it takes a couple of weekends to get everything up, I want to enjoy it for a long time!

Going to my...I'm going to date myself, but most of you roughly know how old I am, but I'm going to my 20 year high school reunion! Like what?! How has it been 20 years?! A few friends and I are ditching the husbands and going together. We're going to get our hair done stay at a hotel, it's going to be a blast catching up and talking about the past.

12. What I'm Looking Forward To Next Month

Thanksgiving and going to the Polar Express in Arizona. Two of my favorite things to do!

13. What Else is New?

Not much, I pretty much told you everything...

Bonus Question: What's your all time favorite Halloween costume?

Hands down it's going to be tonights costume. We're going to be glow in the dark stick figure family. We are all so dang excited, and so far the couple of dry runs we did turned out great and gave me a chance to tweak them a bit each time. Don't worry I've been taking pictures and video on a full tutorial for you.

Halloween Decorations

Happy Monday Foxy Friends! I can't believe that it's the end of October already. Today over on The Blended Blog the Monday theme is Fall Creative...we'll I am working on our Halloween Costumes, which aren't ready yet... I bet I'll be sewing up until we leave the house to go trick or treating...so I can't share that just yet. So instead you get to see my Halloween decorations. I don't go all out for Halloween, but I like the touches of Halloween here and there.

I love a good mantel. Don't you?

I like to incoroprate the kids Trick Or Treat bags, I mean I paid all that money, might as well use it!

The other section I decorate is our entry way table. It would be fun to change out the picture to a Halloween one, but my question is, how do people store all that stuff?!

I have no idea where I got the orange lights, but while going through my bins, there it was, so I must have bought it at some point.

So that is my Fall creativeness for now. I'll post about our Halloween costumes when I get my act together...it's a lot of hand sewing. Go link up your Fall Creativeness over on The Blended Blog.
