Shutterfly For The Win Again

Hi Foxy Friends! Today I'm finally sharing our Christmas Cards! Each year, Mr. says that taking family photos is my Super Bowl...and he's pretty much right. After we get our pictures back, Mr. and I both sit down and go over the photos, saving the ones we love in a separate folder. I love that Shutterfly has more options that every this year. This is our 8th year buying from Shutterfly and each year just keeps getting better.

On a lot of cards you can choose Christmas or Holiday sentiment. You can choose the trim, and I feel like they keep giving you more options each year. And you can choose the cardstock.

When you load your pictures, you are able to see it in a variety of cards, so you can really get a sense of what it will look like. I think we had no less than 15 options we were looking at. But in the end we found the perfect card to match the style of picture we had.

When we were taking pictures, when I saw this crosswalk I KNEW I wanted this to be the back of our card. The best part is that the back comes with the card, no extra cost. You better believe we take advantage of that option!

Yes people were looking at us, and no I didn't care. It was 8am on a Sunday morning =)

Shutterfly is almost always having a sale as well, so right now is the best time to buy! If you think it's too late for Holiday cards, buy some Happy New Years cards. They have so many options for that.  Trust me, it's never to late to send cards, people love that you are thinking of them enough to send a card. So just do it, it's not too late, trust me!

Tea Subscription, Perfect Gift For the Hard to Shop For Person

Hi Foxy Friends! Sips by reached out to me and asked if I would review their tea box subscription. Mr. loves tea, of course he was in. If you don't know what Sips by is, it's a tea subscription service, where you fill out a profile and each month you get a sample of different kinds of tea. Mr. loves it because he doesn't have to buy an $8 box of tea to discover he doesn't like it. Here is what he wrote about it last month, his first box. This is what came in this months box.

He did say that he wasn't a fan of some of them, but he's happy to try all of them, and he does drink them all, even if he doesn't particularly like it. He doesn't like to waste anything, especially tea! Oh and I have to mention that he uses two tea bags every time he drinks tea. Have you see how big the cups he uses are? Here let me show you:

One in the middle is the size of normal coffee cup you get at a restaurant. The one on the left is the one he used for years, that is until he found the one the right and he's never looked back. To say hubby likes tea is an understatement. So which one did he like best? This one:

Perhaps  in the next couple of weeks I'll show you guys Mr.'s Coffee and tea station in our cupboards. He organized it, went to The Container store, okay I went and picked what I thought he would like, it didn't fit and then he saw the brand and did the shopping on his own. Hey I tried! This was the before though.

This would be a great gift for those hard to shop people where you don't know what the heck to get them. Father's Day is right around the corner, and when I say that I mean it's 3 days away...hop on it, go get the man in your life a tea subscription! I know Mr. loves his!

How I Pick Out My Shutterfly Cards

Hi Foxy Friends! Today I am finally sharing our Christmas cards with you! We just sent them out yesterday, so hopefully the recipients of said cards, either don't see this, or act surprised when they get one. This is the 4th year I've used Shutterfly for our Christmas cards, and I can't say enough good things about them!  They have hundreds of cards to choose from, and if you can't find something you like, they have an option to create your own card and upload the design.

Each year we get our family pictures taken, because we know we want to send out Christmas cards. It's my favorite time of year. Waiting impatiently for our pictures to come back from the photographer. Mr. and I always wait to look at the pictures for the first time together. Then we carefully set aside the ones that could be THE ONE for the card. We are the type to only put one picture on the front. And maybe one or two pictures on the back. Cause let's face it, we're paying this much money to get our pictures taken, you are going to see our mugs on that card.

When we open the website, the first thing we do is narrow down the cards, by ones that only have 1 picture, and ones that say Merry Christmas. That helps with not having to sift through so many cards.

There are so many options to choose from. We decided to go with foil lettering, one picture, and something with a Merry Christmas sentiment. It was hard to choose just one, but we finally narrowed it down and this is what we came up with.

I am in love with it, and can't wait for our family and friends to see it! I blurred out our names, and the kids names, but did include their ages. It's always nice to include how old your kids are, so people know, cause who really keeps track of other kids ages? We also like to add a sentiment on the back. Confession time....I use the same sentiment every year. Seriously the last 4 years I've used the same sentiment. I figure, I can't remember what other people do, so why not. Although I do keep everyone's cards, so I guess I could go look. Anyway, I found a sentiment that I really liked a while ago and I've used it ever since.

Now onto the backside. We actually ended up doing two photo sessions for our family pictures this year, so we using a picture for the back from session #2. Funny enough, this was not staged, we were really just using those telescope things.

I realize now, after I have already sent out the cards that I wrote the wrong date on the card! Oh no! Hopefully no one will notice, don't tell any one okay?

Another huge reason I love Shutterfly: they are ALWAYS having a sale. So take advantage of that. Right now cards are up to 50% off, so go pick your cards out and get to sending. And if you think you're too late for Holiday cards, don't forget there are New Years cards too.

Hi Foxy Friends! Once again Disney on Ice is coming to Southern California. Each time they come to town, it amazes me that they come up with a completely different show each time. Same characters you know and love, but different show.

This year the theme is Dare to Dream: Discover your Inner Hero. It's going to be in the Los Angeles area from December 13th to January 6th, so you have plenty of opportunity to go! Moana is making her skating debut in this live production. She's going to hit the high-seas with demigod Maui to save her island and discover who she really is.



But don't worry, her friends from Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella and Rapunzel are all going to be there too!

Explore with all of these friends as they show their fearlessness as you see each princess conquer their fears and obstacles to make their dreams come true.
