Hello Foxy Friends! This past weekend I went to visit Lana and Deena and Abbie decided to join in on the fun. Deena recapped our weekend pretty nicely, so go over and read her recap...I'll fill in some other details.
First can we talk about how awesome Lana's family is and how welcoming they were to 3 stranger ladies coming to their house, being super loud and then eating like teenage boys? And can we talk about Mr. Lana...man he knows how to cook. It was fantastic, we would go out for the day and come home to hot meal on the table, my dream come true. Really this was the BEST girls weekend away I could have asked for.
There was of course lots of shopping
A little bit of site seeing and hiking, if you can call it that.
And lots of pretty scenery.
I got to go on a Ferry for the first time...with a car. That still blows my mind. How do we not sink?
And then some more shopping.
And lots and lots of eating. I'm fairly certain I ate my weight in food this weekend. But oh so worth it!
I couldn't imagine a better tribe. I no longer think of them as my blogging friends, but just friends. I am so happy to have gone on this blogging journey and met up with you and create more memories with you. Until next time! Disneyland in March? Who's in?
And of course there is a video/Vlog. Man remembering to Vlog is hard work. But here it is.
I forgot to recap Disneyland with Baby Fox a few Fridays ago, so here it is.
My parents had Mini Fox for the day, so I picked up Baby Fox from school and off we went to Disneyland. He was so excited. We hadn't gone just me and him before, and if you can do it with just one of your kids, it's so special and they love every moment with you! We got there a little later than I wanted, but hey what can you do. I really wanted to see the electrical parade, so I packed us a dinner and told him we were going to have to camp out to get good seats and eat dinner while we did. Good plan right? I even brought juice boxes to occupy him.
Here's us getting there and on the tram.
We walk past the security people and guess what? They're closing Disneyland early for some Halloween event at 7pm, say what?! Talk about disappointing...but at least California Adventure would still be open, and we had about 4 hours before they were going to kick us out. Gotta take the iconic picture in front of the 60th anniversary sign, even though you can't see it, it's there.
As we walk under the tunnel, we see that they've closed off the pathway for a parade, and we were in luck there wasn't anyone where we happen to walk in at, it was the beginning of the parade and we got front row seats, score!
It's Mickey starting off the parade right!
I just love Mary Poppins, I'm wondering when the kids will be interested enough to watch it...maybe/hopefully next year!
The Chimney sweeps were pretty cool too. They were the last boat, so we followed them down Main Street.
It was almost as if we were in the parade!
Second ride up was the Buzz Lightyear, one of Baby Fox's favorite. If you want to know who won, gotta watch the video (see what I did there?)
At some point we went on a Casey Juniors Circus Train, and we were caged in, oh no!
Yes we were caged in, but he chose that car...like really they locked us in and everything. I was thinking, if there was an emergency how are we going to release the little pin he put in the door?
Last ride we did at Disneyland was a racing ride. It said that he couldn't drive because he wasn't tall enough, but I saw plenty of kids shorter than Baby Fox driving, so I probably could have let him drive...although do I really want my 4 year old driving...mostly we'd probably be a ping pong ball on the track.
As we were walking out they had all of the Halloween decorations up and lite, couldn't help but take a picture of this cute Mickey Ghost.
He said he wanted to make a potato chip and apple sandwich. Yep there is chip, apple, chip.
He said it wasn't so good...haha.
After dinner we say Lightening McQueen right across the way, so we snapped a picture with him.
The last ride of the evening was his second favorite ride, the Toy Story Ride, another shooting game, and actually this one is really fun too, one of my favorites. It's a semi long ride where you shoot "balls" from your "gun" and you have to pull a string to release them..I did a very poor job at explaining that, it's all digital. While we waited in line, he ate a Mickey Mouse Ice Cream Sandwich, which was super rock hard frozen, so it took a while for him to eat it.
It's about 10 at this point and he's out. Good day out with Baby Fox.
I don't have many pictures, because every time Courtney goes to Disney World she vlogs it, so I copied her. Note to self: next time I will charge the battery the night before, oops! Hope you enjoy!
P.S. If you wanted to know, and didn't want to watch the video, I won at both shooting games...going to savor this while it last because one day he's going to be wiping the floor with me.
Happy Thursday! Especially since today is my Friday, yay! I know this is 2 weeks late, but better late than never? Visiting friends is the best, and I got the BEST news while visiting them. They're moving back to California! I'm so excited. They always said they would move back, it's only taken 13 years to do it, haha.
The kids were so cute in the little kiddie pool. I can't wait to live within a days driving distance from them.
Don't forget to enter my giveaway for $500 gift card to Amazon, you only have 2 days left, so get on it!
Happy Thursday! It's my "Friday" woo hoo! We're going to my Aunt and Uncle's house on Saturday for a little party and some fireworks watching. Excited to see everyone. We're also doing something else, but you have to watch the Vlog to find out! :) It's exciting trust me.
I did this vlog on Sunday and boy was I tired! You can really tell how tired I am in the first half of the video...oops! The real me, all tired and worn out. Hope you enjoy.
Happy Thursday! Before I get to my post, first head on over to Beth's blog where I am talking about what it's like to be a girl Mom. :)
Now that you're back....Another week and I actually got another vlog up, with party week happening, either I'm getting better at editing or I'm just ahead of schedule (so I think) with getting the party together. I always think I have it covered and I'm not going to stress out, but it never happens like that. I'll keep you posted.
I didn't mention it in the video, but Mr. really is the best husband and father any woman/kid could ask for, he does so much for our family and I can't wait to see what the future holds.
Hello all! Hope you are having a great week, only 1 more day and it's the weekend! We have two birthday parties to go to this weekend, so we are going to be busy! I typically take it one week at a time and last week was a particularly rough one, so I didn't realize we had two birthday parties until earlier this week, and no gifts! Luckily they are kid birthdays, so it shouldn't be too bad! Going to take one of the kids to Target...of course.
I have another vlog for you all. I know most people don't watch it, but I'm finding it fun to do them and put them together and just remember everything we've been up to. I seriously don't know how people do this daily! Wait for the end of the vlog and there's a link to a how I get ready....which was a big fat fail video too!
