Hi Foxy Friends! It's another Wednesday which means The Blended Blog Fashion prompt. We decided from here forward we're going to try and keep the prompts broad so that you can interrupt how you want and think outside the box if you want. We've also tried to match our Monday prompts to coordinate with the Wednesday prompts #organized. Head on over to Lisa's blog who is the host of todays prompt.

*Some of the links are affiliate links and I will  either receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you click on it or if you make a purchase from one of these links, I may also receive a commission on the sale of the product. Click here for my disclosure page.

Okay so today's prompt is share an outfit that makes you happy.

This shirt makes me ridiculously happy. I bought it when I went to Seattle last year, it was a part of my haul here, anyway, it was such a unique piece and I had nothing like it and it brings back fun memories of shopping and hanging out with friends. Which I vlogged about, so click here to see our Seattle adventures.

How I Pick Out My Shutterfly Cards

Thank You Shutterfly for providing me product. As always all opinions and thoughts are my own.

Hi Foxy Friends! Today I am finally sharing our Christmas cards with you! We just sent them out yesterday, so hopefully the recipients of said cards, either don't see this, or act surprised when they get one. This is the 4th year I've used Shutterfly for our Christmas cards, and I can't say enough good things about them!  They have hundreds of cards to choose from, and if you can't find something you like, they have an option to create your own card and upload the design.

Each year we get our family pictures taken, because we know we want to send out Christmas cards. It's my favorite time of year. Waiting impatiently for our pictures to come back from the photographer. Mr. and I always wait to look at the pictures for the first time together. Then we carefully set aside the ones that could be THE ONE for the card. We are the type to only put one picture on the front. And maybe one or two pictures on the back. Cause let's face it, we're paying this much money to get our pictures taken, you are going to see our mugs on that card.

When we open the website, the first thing we do is narrow down the cards, by ones that only have 1 picture, and ones that say Merry Christmas. That helps with not having to sift through so many cards.

There are so many options to choose from. We decided to go with foil lettering, one picture, and something with a Merry Christmas sentiment. It was hard to choose just one, but we finally narrowed it down and this is what we came up with.

I am in love with it, and can't wait for our family and friends to see it! I blurred out our names, and the kids names, but did include their ages. It's always nice to include how old your kids are, so people know, cause who really keeps track of other kids ages? We also like to add a sentiment on the back. Confession time....I use the same sentiment every year. Seriously the last 4 years I've used the same sentiment. I figure, I can't remember what other people do, so why not. Although I do keep everyone's cards, so I guess I could go look. Anyway, I found a sentiment that I really liked a while ago and I've used it ever since.

Now onto the backside. We actually ended up doing two photo sessions for our family pictures this year, so we using a picture for the back from session #2. Funny enough, this was not staged, we were really just using those telescope things.

I realize now, after I have already sent out the cards that I wrote the wrong date on the card! Oh no! Hopefully no one will notice, don't tell any one okay?

Another huge reason I love Shutterfly: they are ALWAYS having a sale. So take advantage of that. Right now cards are up to 50% off, so go pick your cards out and get to sending. And if you think you're too late for Holiday cards, don't forget there are New Years cards too.

Have you sent out your Christmas cards yet?

10 Favorite Pictures for 2018 That Bring Me Joy

Hello Foxy Friends! Hope you all had a great weekend. I'm linking up today with The Blended Blog for another Monday Topic. Today is all about what brings me joy? Erin is also hosting 10th on the 10th and today's topic is Favorite Pictures of 2018. I thought those two topics worked well together. So here are my favorite pictures of 2018 that bring me joy.

ONE

Okay so technically this is New Years Eve, but still sort of counts. But love these people of mine, we typically get together them with every Friday and I look forward each week to ending the usually LONG week with these people. Bringing in the new year with these people, wouldn't have it any other way.

TWO

The place where I live. I am so blessed to live somewhere with great weather year round, with the ability to go to the snow and the beach all in one day.

THREE

I don't talk about my faith much here, but being able to share our faith, love and devotion with the children brings me joy. To see them understand something and to truly understand His love brings me great joy.

FOUR

So this is technically two pictures, but one topic, so we'll count it as one. I love that Baby Fox and Mini Fox love playing sports. It brings me joy to see them love playing sports and getting better each year.

FIVE

When I got pregnant with Mini Fox, my parents moved down by us to be closer to their only grandkids. I love that they have their own relationship with them and that my dad can pick up Baby Fox after school to take him to get french fries, or they can come over whenever they want to see them and vice versa. It's sad to think but my parents have a finite amount of time left and it brings me joy to know that they will have such fond memories with them.

This was taken at my dad's birthday dinner in April.

SIX

Friends. This year we've made a bunch of new friends, and it's so nice to have a group of woman who, not only you get along with, but all of the kids get along too, and the husbands, it seems like a rare thing, but everyone gets along and it's been so great to get to know new friends.

This was taken at a Memorial day party and it was such a blast that we had lunch which then turned into dinner, that's a good party!

SEVEN

Another three for one topic. But being able to travel with the family. It's been so fun, now that Mini Fox can sleep in the same room as someone and not talk their ear off and actually go to sleep. It brings me such joy to be able to show the kids so many different places, give them amazing expereiences and we're hoping to get outside of the US at some point soon!

Great Wolf Lodge

Yosemite

Sedona

EIGHT

Family. I love that as we get older, all of the cousins in the family have started their own traditions. We make a point to get together at least 3 times a year, always on Super Bowl Sunday, 4th of July and Cousin Christmas (happening this weekend). I love that my kids know who their cousins are, and that they are getting the same experience I got growing up with my cousins.

Cousin Christmas last year.

| NINE |

My blogging friends! All of the ladies from The Blended Blog. I love that we make a point to take some time out of each year to travel from all over to see each other. Some are missing from this photo, and I really hope they can come next year, but I love spending time with these people. They bring me joy, we talk fashion, we talk family, friends, nothing is too secret to talk about. Plus finally getting to hug them in person, always a good thing.

TEN

Another friend category. This picture makes me ridiculously happy. See all the kids in their PJ's? Yep, cause we like to call each other up at 8pm and say, hey want to go on an ice cream run? Those are my people that take their kids out at 8pm to get ice cream. It's become a great tradition. I mean we do other things with them too, but this one brings me joy, I mean what's not to love, ice cream and friends.

So I realize that most of these pictures are selfies, sorry about that. But most of the time, I really don't have anyone to take a picture...

So what brings you joy?

Sedona and North Pole Experience Recap

Happy Friday Foxy Friends! Last week I recapped day 1 of our mini vacation, to Bearizona and the Polar Express. This week I'm finishing up our long weekend with day 2. Don't worry, I'll try to keep the pictures to a minimum again.

Sunday morning was a lazy start. After we got going we ate a quick breakfast and headed out to Sedona. Mr. had found a good easy trail for the kids. It was about an hour and 20 minutes away from where we currently were, so not too bad of a drive, and super pretty! The town of Sedona is the cutest ever! A LOT nicer than a lot of the other National Parks we've been to. So it was a surprise how many shops and restaurants there were. We ended up at a Whole Foods of all places (yes they have one of those!) for lunch on the go. We all grabbed something and then headed to the hiking trail. As luck would have it, there was a picnic bench for us to eat lunch on at the beginning of the trail.

Such a fun hike, called Fay Canyon I believe. It leads to a boxed canyon which was pretty cool. It was mostly shaded, not that it was hot outside, but it would be nice if it were mid summer and hot.

Of course we went right past this sign and kept going.

I mean how can you not walk past this sign when you see this?

We hiked/climbed up it and it had a spectacular view. Totally worth it!

After our hike we drove back to Flagstaff to hit up the North Pole Experience. But wait, I saw these tress on the way in and wanted to stop to grab a picture on the way out. Mr. wouldn't let me take a picture of us because it wasn't in the safest of spots to get the shot.

We ate dinner and headed to the NPX,  which if you didn't know is a bus that takes you to the North Pole via Portal (they do a really good job convincing the kids). And suddenly you are at Santa's workshop and you are helping make bears for kids,

eating cookies with Mrs. Claus and Grandma Claus

and going to elf school. It's all so magical.

And at the end you get one on one time with the Big Guy.

This is where the kids asked Santa for a bell from his sleigh. Click here for the perfect bell if your kids ask too. Santa is telling me what the kids have asked for and asking my help to wrap it, since he won't have time when he stops at our house, so I'll have to wrap it for him. It was all super cute and Santa did a wonderful job!

Two very happy kids.

We had another great trip. We're trying to talk some friends into going with us next year. We'll see, but the kids most definitely want to go back! Hope you all had a great week! Next week I'll be back to my Friday favorites!
