Must Have Bathing Suits

Hi Foxy Friends! Good news for you all! Target is having their buy one get one 50% off right now! Goes until Saturday, so better hop on it! It is for online only and they are REALLY great for returning in store. It does get a little confusing when you are returning a buy one get one 50% off. I also try to pair them price wise together when I buy, for example I bought item 3 from the one piece choices, and then I also bought item 1 from the high waisted because they were the same price.

Okay enough math, let's get to some of my favorites I found while browsing. Unfortunately I couldn't try them all, but I am trying out a good number of them. I've broken them down into categories for you.

High Waist Bikinis

1 (two other colors located here) / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 (two colors) / 6 (two colors)  / 7

I've wanted to try out this style since I started seeing it a couple of years ago. I'm sure they were out there, but it makes so much sense to have high waisted. I mean I like high waisted pants, why not bathing suit too? I'm so excited to get them and try them on! I ordered #7 and #1. I also might have order these bottoms instead of the ones from 6 because they didn't have my size in that one.

Bikinis

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7

A friend is having a 40th birthday party, we're going to Palm Springs and she suggested she wanted everyone to wear a white bathing suit so we could take a cute picture. I don't have any white, and this sale was perfect! So I bought this one (it comes in 4 colors), this one (comes in 2 colors) and this one (comes in 3 colors). I didn't show case because I thought most people don't want an all white bathing suit.

One Piece Swim Suits

1 / 2 (strapless located here)/ 3 / 4 / 5 (comes in two colors)/ 6 / 7

I own the strapless version of number 2 and I get so many compliments on it every time I wear it. Stands the test of time because I've had it for almost 3 years now and it's still on the website, so much be a good swim suit that people keep buying. I forgot to also put this one in there, I bought this one as well to try out.
Plus size

 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7

So drop what you're doing and go buy your swim suits now. Returns are easy and in my experience this offer only comes once a year, maybe twice if we're lucky. But this is it folks. I know most of you are knee deep in snow, but put on your Spring and Summer minds and get to buying! Maybe it will keep you a little warmer knowing it's right around the corner and you're going to have some awesome swim suits to wear when the time comes.

Hi Foxy Friends! If you are coming from The Blended Blog, welcome! If you are starting here, head on over there, to see two other ways I've styled this tulle skirt. I know I'm giving you 4 ways to style this skirt. So here we go:

I've always wanted to style my tulle skirt like this. And I finally had the perfect shirt to do it with.

You could probably also tuck in the shirt too.

If you wanted to change things up for a date night, add a tighter shirt, and of course strips won this time.

Skirt (Similar) / Shirt / Shoes (not even close to similar, but would look cute) / Earrings (similar) / Necklace (similar)

Can I tell you how soft this shirt is? It says off the shoulders, no hiking it down around your shoulders and fits perfect. Very happy with this shirt and for under $30 can't really beat it.

Date Night Tulle Skirt Outfit

So there you have two ways to style this pink tulle skirt. In general, my favorite and go to way to style a tulle skirt, is a tight shirt and jean jacket. Case in point...

Got too hot so I took the jean jacket off.

So there you have it 5 ways to wear a tulle skirt! Link up below with your most complemented wardrobe piece.

Hash Brown Waffles

Hi Foxy Friends! Over on my YouTube channel I was doing a series about trying out recipes. I didn't have time to film it, but I did snap some pictures. This video was going around on FB from the Pioneer Woman, and I just had to give it a try. Bottom line it was amazing, and we can't wait to make it again and put different things in it.

What You'll Need:

Bag of Frozen shredded potatoes
Cheese (optional)
Bacon (optional)
Ham (optional)
You get the picture
Waffle Maker (I have this one)

Directions:

Step 1 - Thaw out potatoes. (directions say to wring out extra water, but I didn't do this and they turned out okay, so your choice)

I left our bag of potatoes out on the counter for a little over an hour.

Step 1.5 - Turn on waffle maker at some point while the potatoes are thawing to get it heating up. Mine takes a little over 10 minute to heat up.

Step 2 - Add half a stick of melted butter to the potatoes (not sure why this step was needed, but I figure extra butter can't hurt right?)

Step 3 - Add in a heaping 1/2 cup to each section of the waffle maker, add in your toppings, we did just cheese this time, but next time we want to add in some bacon of some sort. After  toppings add another 1/4 or so more potatoes on top, enough to cover your toppings.

Bottom two have no toppings just potatoes

Tip 1: When adding topping don't add too many, cause remember you still have to add more potatoes on top and close the machine.

I tried to take a picture that you can go over, which I advise you to do, the first batch I did, I had it less than this and I think it turned out better with more potatoes.

Step 4 - Now this is the part that was confusing from the video and her instructions. She says to set it for 15 minutes? Well my waffle iron goes from 1-5 in done-ness. So I didn't have that option. I tried to put it where I would normally put it when we do waffles (between 3 and 4) but that was only 6 minutes or so. So then I cranked it up to 5 and just left it for 15 minutes. Yes the machine beeped at me telling me it was done, but it kept cooking it and making it brown. So I would say do that. I set my timer for 15 minutes, put it on the highest setting and let it go.

Tip 2: When doing this for the first time, take a peek at it when the waffle iron ready button goes off, because I'm sure each waffle iron is different

They were SOOO good! Mr. kept mumbling how good they were and ate a bunch of them. Baby Fox repeatedly said how good they were.

Tip 3: It does take 15 minutes each time, so if you're going to need more than one batch, I would make the first batch and keep in oven on warm, so remember each time it takes 15 minutes, this is not a fast, whip it up recipe.

Let me know if you make them! I am definitely going to have to make breakfast for dinner one of these times when we have some friends over!

Oh and 1 bag of frozen potatoes yeilded about 2 batches, so 8 waffles, I ended up making some just potato ones because Baby Fox doesn't like cheese, so those were a little smaller, so I really ended up with 9.

Weekly Favorites #6

Hi Foxy Friends! Happy Friday! Yesterday was such a normal day, is that what 15 years together does? Not sure, but we show each other we love each other everyday, so there's that. Anyway, onto some Weekly Favorites!

In case you missed it on the blog this week:

Monday: Meet Lisa
Tuesday: 10 Reasons I Would Die In A Zombie Apocalypse
Wednesday: Recreating an Outfit
Thursday: Easy Valentine's Day Wreath

I also actually posted a video this week, it's been hard posting videos for some reason. But I finally got one up, if you can guess, it's about the Valentine's Day Wreath.

Last weekend was a slow one filled with no almost not plans. Thursday I went out for a Mom's night out, it was really fun to catch up with them.

Friday got my hair done and then we headed to a friends for dinner, no pictures of that though, darn.

Saturday was a PJ's all day kind of day, I went to the gym, took Baby Fox to karate then we picked up some In and Out. After that, we did pretty much nothing. I made some ribs for dinner and then we did family movie night. Popcorn and watched The Clocks Inside The Walls In The House.

Sunday we went to a craft day at a friend of my mom's. It was super fun to craft Valentine's Day card for the kid's classmates.

Sunday night was full of cleaning up the house and getting ready for the week.

Mini Fox started her first T-ball season on Tuesday, just before the rain came. She loved it. Her best friend is on the team, and I think they're going to have a great season, provided that it stops raining. Mini Fox brought her camera she got for Christmas so she could take pictures with her team.  Need to figure out how to get the pictures off her camera, then I'll show you the pictures she took, they are too cute.

Getting her uniform, she was so excited.

Let me set the stage, last year when we heard that they were making a Frozen 2, Baby Fox insisted that the parents were alive and that they would come back in this movie. Mr. said no way, the parents are dead, and then they proceeded to bet...stakes you wonder? Mr. was so confident that the parents are dead, he bet Baby Fox a new iPad. Have you seen the trailer? Totally could be that they are finding their parents. Mr. said he would follow through on the bet if they are even looking for the parents for the plot of the movie. Kids are so stinkin' excited to watch the movie come Fall. How about you? Anyone else going to watch it?

My new favorite thing of life...this dry shampoo puts all other dry shampoos to shame. It gets rid of the grease and it lifts your hair from the roots, unlike other dry shampoos that somewhat get rid of the grease, but leaves it a little flat. Trust me I've tried all different kinds of dry shampoo, up until this week my favorite was this one, but no longer, I'm ONLY going to buy the IGK one. Seriously it looked like first day hair...although didn't feel like it, but it would be the perfect time to do a fancy hair style with the grit and lift that it left. Okay I'll stop gushing, just go get it and you'll thank me later. It also comes in a travel size, add to cart!

Valentine's Day Heart Wreath

Hi Foxy Friends! Happy Valentine's Day! I know I'm late to the game with this, but I figure better than never right? Or something like that. I just couldn't get my butt into gear to get everything edited and finished, so you're getting it now. This is super simple to make and quick!

*Some of the links are affiliate links and I will  either receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you click on it or if you make a purchase from one of these links, I may also receive a commission on the sale of the product. Click here for my disclosure page.

What You'll Need:

Heart Wreath Frame
Pom Pom Garland
Glue Gun

Directions:

Step 1:

Glue Pom Poms in an alternating pattern around the wreath.

Warning: make sure you glue on a surface that you don't care for, the glue gun will leak on the surface you are using.

Alternate colors and you're done!

Of course I did a quick video for you, in case you like to see how it's done.

Pin for later:

Imitation Is The Sincerest Form Of Flattery

Hi Foxy Friends! Today over on The Blended Blog we are sharing looks we saw someone else do. When I saw Andrea style her red pants and chambray shirt I knew I had to do it too. I thought, hey I have all of those things and have NEVER put it together before! So here it is:
How to put together the perfect outfit

Pants (similar) / Shirt (similar, but not really) / Heels (similar)

I even have the leopard heels on, you can barely see them though!

Here is my inspiration:

I should have paired it with a chunky necklace, that looks great too, I didn't because, it was raining really hard all day and I had about 2.5 seconds to run outside to take pictures. haha. #bloggerproblems

Definitely going to put this together again when it gets a bit warmer outside.

what to wear for a beach date

I really need to find my 50mm lens, it got swept up in the Christmas, we're having 25 people over for Christmas dinner sweep, and I haven't been able to locate it...wondering how long before I just buy a new one, cause this lens isn't cutting it.

Head on over to The Blended Blog or our host, Deena's, blog and link up your fashion inspirations.

10 Reasons I Would Die In a Zombie Apocalypse Or End Of the World Situation

Hi Foxy Friends! I know silly subject, but I thought, you guys would really want to know this, haha! Fact about me and Mr: If there is a zombie, end of the world, aliens trying to take over the world, we have watched it. It all started with 28 days later, and we've been hooked ever since. Now with Netflix, the options are abundant. They like them a good end of the world movie. So here are 10 reasons I would not survive a Zombie Apocalypse/End of the World situation:

| ONE | I have to pee every 5 seconds, seriously, in those movies these people NEVER pee. I can imagine it, I'm running from the zombies and have to stop to go pee, DEAD.

| TWO | Which brings me to running...yes I run, but running at full speed for any length of time longer than 30 seconds...I'm out. We were watching What Still Remains on Netflix and girlfriend seemed to run for a LONG time with a backpack away from the bad guy. DEAD.

| THREE | Weapons, don't know how to really use them or efficiently. DEAD.

| FOUR | If I did know how to use a weapon and happened to score an animal have no idea how to create fire without matches nor how to clean it. DEAD.

| FIVE | I assume all berries growing on plants are poison. So basically I can't pick food, I can't kill it, so DEAD.

| SIX | I trust people too easily. They say they won't hurt me and will share the food I have managed to gather...yep I'll trust ya. DEAD

Side Note: I would NOT have let that guy in the house in Bird Box, she was crazy to let that guy in!

| SEVEN |  Speaking of trust, I don't think I could hit anyone to get something I wanted...like punch someone in the face? Although I might if my life was in danger? Not sure, but as it stands right now, I don't think I could. DEAD.

| EIGHT | Bad under pressure, I'm pretty sure hiding behind that desk and then moving around it as the alien is on the other side...there is no way I am silent in my crying or moving. DEAD.

| NINE | Going back to the food thing, I get squeamish with having to eat living insects, I'm not sure I could...maybe in life or death situation, which this is...but really not sure if I could. DEAD.

| TEN | Showers are few and far between, I can't stand being dirty, and there probably isn't dry shampoo, problematic. OH and when they do find a river or lake and it's freezing outside and they just hop in to wash off, I am such a WIMP when it comes to being cold. So now I'm dirty, hungry and cold, can't start a fire or fetch food. DEAD.

Bonus: So Mr. and I are watching a zombie movie and I realize we ONLY have filtered water, we stopped buying bottled water, save plastic, blah blah, reusable bottles. So if the end of the world was going to happen, we would have no water, so you better believe I bought a flat of water at Costco next time I was there. It stays under the bed in the guest room.

Funny this post comes right now, my mom texted me a story about Mini Fox yesterday.

Perhaps if I have Mini Fox with me, I will/can survive! Yep going to rely on my 5 year old to keep me alive.
