Hello Foxy Friends! I'm joining my IG friends tomorrow for a little floral look. I just got these shorts from my Sweetly Striped, as you can tell a lot of my clothes lately have come from them. I can't help it, it's all so cute! I got the last pair of these shorts, but these are very similar. I'm sort of digging the non denim shorts right now, they're more comfortable and they look a little bit more put together with very little effort.

Can we talk about the shoes? I had told you last week I bought them, but now that I have them, everyone needs them! I would give you a close up but my nail polish is chipping and no one wants to see that. Anyway, they are under $20 and SOOO comfortable! I cooked dinner in them last night and they were so comfortable. No blisters first time wearing them. It looks like the black is sold out right now in my size, but the other colors are there, I might have to pick another pair up. They are definitely going to be my go to sandal of the summer!
Hi Foxy Friends! I know my posts have been few and far between. Every time I got to blog some little human needs my help with something. Then the day seems to get away from me, repeat everyday it seems. But I have been snagging all the great deals and I'm here to share them with you.
I realized very quickly that I don't have much lounge wear. I went to work 5 days a week, on most weeks, and then on the weekends we would be doing kid sports and going out with friends, so I didn't have a need for lounge wear. Well send a little quarantine my way and give me ALL the lounge wear. I might have bought 3 new pairs of joggers, a few sweaters, some shorts and two pairs of leggings. and the joggers and leggings? From the same brand and if you don't have a pair of Vuori pants...you NEED to get a pair ASAP! I have a group text going and one of the ladies bought a pair, said how awesome they were and then the 11 other ladies bought multiple pairs in multiple orders. We all bought one then got them and realized we had to have them all!

Then the weather got hot and the joggers made sense, so of course I had to get some shorts. The shorts are $15 and SO soft I bought 4 pairs...oops!
Old Navy keeps sucking me in too. They keep having these great sales, so I keep buying more stuff...darn you Old Navy! Staying on track with my comfy clothes...
Hi Foxy Friends! I'm back this week with another outfit post with The Blended Blog. We decided to take the summer off for the themed weeks, so we're left to our own devices now. Today I'm sharing with you a great vacation outfit, it's comfy, yet looks put together.

Hi Foxy Friends! I'm linking up again with The Blended Blog and this week we're covering shorts. I love shorts in the summer. Lately I've been buying a lot of rompers. I don't know why, but they have been calling my name. I showed you one here, and now I'm showing you another one. This one is from American Eagle, I had never bought anything from there, but needed to get to the free shipping. Does anyone else do that?

Unfortunately this one is no longer available, but this one is super close.
At the time I took this picture, I didn't have a strapless bra that I liked (that has since changed, this one is my new favorite and I could wear it all day everyday if I had to, going to buy another one soon).
This lace bralette is so darn cute and right now on Costco it is $4 off plus free shipping, making it only $12...but wait for it...it's for 2! So for $6 each you can get them. They come in Black and Grey and Mauve and White. I have all four and constantly wear them.
See how cute the back is? I find that they don't really carry them in the stores all that often, so best to scoop it up online now!
Happy Wednesday Foxy Friends! Today you're getting a two for one, also linking up with Shay, Mel and Sheaffer for What's Up Wednesday.

What I'm wearing:
I'm sharing a pair of shorts that I got at Target, and as soon as I saw the lemons I knew that I HAD to have them. I mean cute fruit on shorts, yes please! I was trying to figure out what top to wear, and I tried on this simple teal tee and thought it actually looked pretty good together, even though the leaves of the shorts and the shirt don't really match...
The necklace was made by my super talented friend Jackie from BEXO "Be Xtraordinary" She has such a great jewelry line! She is not paying me to say this, I genuinely think this, I knew her before she started her line, so there's that. I can say, I knew her when, hehe. Anyway, go check out her stuff, it's pretty awesome!
Last week I showed you this hair style with a dressier look so I decided to show you how this hair style works with a casual look too.
And you knew I had to include one silly picture.
What we're eating this week:
Sunday: Last night we had Steak, homemade mac and cheese and corn on the cob.
Monday: Left over steak and some broccoli
Tuesday: Crock-Pot shredded beef bowls (put beef in crock pot, use these Crock-Pot liners for easy clean up, they are life changing, seriously, pour 28oz of enchilada sauce over meat, cook on low for 8 hours)
Wednesday: Left over beef bowls
Thursday-Saturday: Will figure out on those day, haha! #realife.
What I'm reminiscing about:
Mini Fox finished her first year of preschool and for her showcase, she sang Let It Go from Frozen, which is exactly the same song that Baby Fox sang for his first showcase at the same preschool. Not planned, but that's what she wanted to do, she didn't even know that's what he sang, I'm sure that he doesn't even remember, doing that, haha.
What I'm loving:
Summer! Some lazy days, mixed with super busy ones and lots and lots of friends and family time.
What we've been up to:
Swim lessons, more swimming, hanging out with friends, and trying to get to the gym and working out.
What I'm dreading:
We have a lot of trips coming up all which involve a lot of driving. Basically for the next 6 weeks, were traveling 5+ hours every other week. The last week of August, it's a 7 hour drive I think? Then we want to do some other things on our not traveling weekends and that of course involves Southern California traffic. But at least I know we are going to have a blast with whatever we do.
What I'm working on:
Working out, yesterday I shared my favorite workout videos, but I have GOT to lose these last 5 pounds, well now it's like 2, so I guess #progress. I'm finding some new workout classes that get me motivated and work muscles that I don't normally use or workout.
What I'm excited about:
On the flip side to the dreading thing....excited for all of the long weekends ahead of us. I know the next 6 weeks are going to fly by, and we're going to have so much fun hanging out with family and friends on our trips. Plus, one of the trips includes camping, legit camping guys, speaking of which I should practice setting up the tent.
What I'm watching/reading:
Well besides reading all of your lovely blogs, not much. Sad I know. I keep saying I will, but life needs to slow down a bit, balance is hard. I need to take notes from Shaunacey and get the books on tape. Anyway, Mr. and I have been obsessed with this show. It's in it's final season, and it's super interesting. It's about the revolutionary war, if you don't know anything about it, watch it. Obviously it's not totally accurate, but it is somewhat accurate and we're loving all of the characters and the spy rings, and George Washington, going to be sad when it ends in a couple of weeks. We zoomed through the first 3 seasons (I think on Netflix, or was it Amazon Prime?) and we're on the final season that is playing on AMC right now.
What I'm listening to:
YouTube music, there are so many talented people out there. These are currently on repeat for me.
What I'm doing this weekend:
We are headed to Sequoia! So excited to spend some time with my Brother and Sister-In-Law. Leaving on Friday and coming home Sunday at some point and probably taking Monday off of work to relax and catch up with house stuff.
What I'm looking forward to next month:
Looking forward to our trips, spending some times with a good friend and her family for 3.5 days, and Baby Fox starting 1st grade at a new school! It's going to be his first time going to school for a full day, Kindergarten where we live was only 2.5 hours. So he's going from 3.5 hours to 7 hours, huge difference. Plus I get to use these for the kids now!
What's your favorite thing about Summer:
My absolute favorite thing about summer, is that after I get home from work we still get a good 2.5 hours light out, which means we can do so many things outside, like swimming!
Last thing, in case you want to see the hair tutorial I did on the French Braid to Top Knot, here is it!
Hello Foxy Fashion Friends! Another summer day, and it's starting to heat up where I live. Usually we get the heat later in the season and it goes on and on until Halloween, and even then sometimes we're in shorts and tank tops for Thanksgiving. Anyway...I actually followed The Blended Blog style prompt, pick, pair, share.
I bought these shorts at Old Navy about a month or so ago, they were $10, I figured for $10 I would give them a go. I think that Whitney actually bought these shorts and ended up returning them. Although browsing her site I can't find it...hmm...was it you? Anyway, I saw them and thought of her, so let's just go ahead and give her credit.
I've been seeing a lot of mixing patterns and I think it looks great on EVERYONE...but then never really did try it myself. Until this weekend that is! It was 100°+ and humid as all heck. So what better than shorts and the lightest, flowiest (yep just made that word up) shirt ever.
I figured for my hair I wanted it up, but didn't want to just throw it in a pony tail so I created some knots in my hair and pinned them down my head. I think it turned out pretty cute, considering I had two seconds to get ready.
In other hair news...I actually did my hair this week! What? I actually did it four times to be exact!
The first time was to Baby Fox's graduation/performance. It was hotter than heck (same days as mixing patterns outfit), the performance was outside and I just wanted it up. But I had about 6 seconds to get ready, so I did a fun twisted side braid and called it a day. I got a ton of compliments on it, and it really did take me...okay maybe 30 seconds to do. Of course I forgot to take a picture when there was still light out, so this is how it looked after being in the hot heat for 3 hours.
Saturday we were on our way to dinner, and my hair was a mess and in a pony tail and I couldn't have that, so I grabbed a few bobby pins on my way out the door, and did this while I was sitting in between the kids car seats, with no mirror, so apparently the trick to doing a messy bun is not having a mirror. Could be higher on my head, but eh.
Monday I was SUPER late for work, like I woke up when I was supposed to be driving to the vanpool spot. Yikes! Luckily I made it, but that meant I didn't get a chance to throw it up, since I was on day 3 hair and it really need to not be down. I magically found 2 bobby pins in my purse and did a simple side swept braid.
Now it's Tuesday and I have day 4 hair, but I knew I didn't want to wash it the night before because I was going to have a hard workout on Tuesday, so I did a crown braid. Good 'ol trusty crown braid.
My head looks so small...I wonder if it looks like this in real life...
Hello Foxy Fashion Friends. Yet another week of the Style Perspectives with The Blended Blog! I am loving seeing everyone style the prompts and meeting new people through the link up! Keep 'em coming!
This week was Deena's choice, and she could not have picked anything more like her than a graphic tee. I basically think they are one in the same...okay not really, but seriously love the prompt. Fun fact...I did not own a graphic tee until last year during one the style challenges.
Then I decided to style my very first Graphic Tee that I got...It was the first one that really spoke to me...
Now onto the hair...I actually got a machine to do the twists (hopefully unboxing video coming soon, it's been recorded, now I just need to find the time to put it together), so I twisted three together and then braided the three twists together.
And how could pass up a jumping shot, curteosy of Mr...because I took about 15 with the remote timer and failed miserably and was sweaty hot.
Tip #1: Key to looking good in a jumping shot...make sure to tuck your knees up behind you, makes you look like you've gone higher than you really have.
Tip #2: Set your camera to rapid fire picture taking, so the person taking the picture just rapid fires and you're sure to get the peak of your jump.
Now go check out Deena's post on The Blended Blog, I think she has something pretty fun up her sleeve...
In case you missed it, here is how everyone styled their Tee, Cardi, Jeans and statement necklaces.
Okay now onto the hair challenge. I actually did pretty good with this, mostly because I was at the conference in Vegas and you know, dress to impress right?
This was last Wednesday. I needed to do something, since nothing was done Monday or Tuesday. I threw these braids in and put them together and I probably couldn't repeat this even if I wanted. I was tired and just trying to do anything in less than 10 minutes.
Thursday was driving to Vegas. I don't like wearing ponytails while driving, so I threw it up like this...sort of like this video, hers looks way better, ah well. This was taken after driving for 4 hours and walking around...so it's a little messed up from when I started.
I totally forgot to take a picture of my hair on Friday, how could I?! Here's front view...Oops. And now I can't even remember how it looked in the back, so much happened, yikes!
This style was because Deena said she said someone on Canada's version of The View (it's called The Social), anyway Lainey, had something sort of like this, but not really. But we got the style inspiration from her.
Sunday was spent all day shopping. I was trying to do this hair style, but couldn't hear the directions, for some reason the audio was out, and it was too hard to follow, so I just threw it in a few knots and called it a day.
I even got a comment on the elevator from a hair dresser trying to figure out what I had one...so fun having someone that's a professional asking me how I did my hair!
That's it on the hair front. Next weeks prompt is: A plaid looks, bring out that Spring Plaid and bring your A game next week.
Now go check out how the other ladies styled their graphic tee look.
