It's April and I've done 31 days of wearing everything in my closet...for a month so far. I wasn't sure if I was going to continue when I started, but after finishing the first month I'm going to keep going until I get tired of doing it. That being said, I thought I would link up with Karli and her new 10 on Tuesday list series and give you a list of 10 things I learned while trying to wear everything in my closet.
- I am a clothes hoarder
- I own too many t-shirts (before I started this journey 2 years ago, I didn't own very many t-shirts, and I set out to change that, now I have too many...oops)
- With #2 being said I need some more blouses...or shirts that aren't t-shirts
- I tried not to do much shopping for myself, and paid more attention to trends and what I really wanted, so far I've decided I want some cold shoulder shirts and some t-shirts that aren't from Target.
- It's okay to get rid of something because you wanted to try a trend and it just didn't work out for you. Lesson learned and move on
- I'm much more creative with outfits, and are more intentional with what I wear. Like I'll go to my closet and think I want to wear that, then think No I want to wear that this weekend, so let's pick something else
- I need to get rid of some shoes that I don't wear any more, and I'm okay with that now.
- I discovered I do like denim shirts and now I need to find one that I can both wear normally and tied in a knot, anyone have any longer denim shirts I should check out?
- If I haven't worn it in a year, no matter how much I want to keep it, I should just give it away, even if I bought it and never wore it...I'm not going to wear it...see #5
- I actually like seeing all the different outfits I've put together. One day I'll learn how to make a really cool collage. But for now this will have to do:
