10 Favorite Pictures of 2017

Hi Foxy Friends! I was so tired from the weekend I decided to take Monday off...although I missed not posting about decorations around my house. Perhaps I can get it together and do an after Christmas post, haha. I missed Erin's last lin up for the 10th on the 10th, but better late than never?  Anyway, her last prompt was our 10 favorite photos from this year. I think it's going to be hard to pick, but I'll try. I'll start at the beginning of the year and work my way to the end.

ONE

January - Being at the end of the year, and she is no longer is in a crib or in a toddler bed but a full size bed, makes me love this picture even that much more.

TWO

February - Taking  Mini Fox to see her first movie - Lego Batman

THREE

March - We were waiting for Mini Fox's ballet class to get out and Baby Fox wanted to take silly picture. I don't know why this makes me laugh every time.

FOUR

April - Love our yearly flower field pictures.

FIVE

When you go on a trip to a different country to meet up with fellow bloggers that you've never met before and you ask them to take this picture and they immediately jump into action without batting and eye or questioning you, you know you found your people. Thank you Blended Blog ladies, Love you!

SIX

Our first family trip, where we drove 5 hours, stayed in a hotel and did all sorts of touristy things. Here is Sequoia

SEVEN

Our trip to Yosemite this year. I just love this picture of the Guys and the kids...and the girls holding hands, so sweet. We've known this family for almost 7 years and am so happy/thankful to have met them and become as close as we are.

EIGHT

7th year Trick or Treating together and it's just as fun this year as it was 7 years ago. And I love that we all still get dressed up.

NINE

Our most recent trip to Arizona, where we did so many amazing things, but I just love this picture. Even though you can't see our faces, I just love it.

TEN

This picture...I dreamed of taking this picture right here for a year...as soon as we took last years Christmas cards, I knew I wanted to take this years at this pier, and the pictures turned out EXACTLY how I imagined they would, even better. Now where the heck are we going to take pictures for next year?! I have one idea left, but the kids need to be a few years older, darn.

So those are some of my favorite pictures from 2017, I mean there were a ton, but if I could only pick 10. These would be it. So what are your favorite pictures of this year?

My Reverse Bucket List

It's another Show and Tell Tuesday with Andrea, this time the topic is reverse bucket list, when we share the things that were on a bucket list but are no longer on the list. Fun!

I think my first one would definitely be skydiving! I didn't know I wanted to sky dive until my dad asked me if I wanted to go with him, sure why not? You can see the Vlog I did that day here.

Twirling our way down.

Coming in for a landing

Back before kids, Mr. said that before we had kids we wanted to take a vacation to Italy, which we did. We went with another couple and had the time of our lives! We did so much, but still wanted to do more. I hope that one day we can get back there, but for now, so glad that we got to go on one last big trip before the kids came.

Throwing coins in Trevi Fountain.

I actually took this picture, looks like a post card right?!
Is it okay to write have kids? It was on my bucket list at one point in my life and now I have two beautiful children. So lucky to call these kids mine, they are one of the best things to happen to me. They keep me on my toes, test my patience and show what unconditional love feels like.

Riding horseback in Bora Bora on a private island tour (unfortunately they no longer do this).

Scuba Diving in the Caribbean, you don't even need to be certified, ask for a resort dive, you only go down 40-50 meters so if something happens, you could ultimately swim to the surface. We've done it a couple of times now, and every time has been fun.

So what are some of the reverse bucket list items you've done? Something that I need to add to mine?

Tuesday Thoughts

It's another Tuesday which means Tuesday talk with Ashley & Erika

Looking Forward To:

There are so many kids movies coming out this summer, which I guess makes sense because hello Summer break. Now that Mini Fox can go to the movies (read she can sit still for 2 hours), bring on the movies!

Cars 3, so far all of the reviews are pretty good.

Despicable Me 3 - Very appropriate, considering we're throwing a minions party on Sunday.

We were shopping at they had a DM3 photo op set up.

The Nut Job 2 - Haven't seen the first one, so perhaps we will watch that first then go see this one

Interested In:

I can't wait for all of the fun stuff that we have planned for Baby Fox. He is taking some awesome classes and I am really hoping that he's going to love all of them.

Annoyed At:

The new school that Baby Fox is going to next year, needs proof of residency. I asked them when I went in if I needed that, they said they didn't, so I threw the ones we had away. Now we have to go retrieve them and have someone take them over to the school before they shut down on Thursday. Fun times.

Enjoying:

Watching the kids swimming lessons. I love seeing them learn new things, especially Mini Fox gaining that independence that all kids love having in the pool. Hopefully soon she will be able to keep up with her brother in the pool.

Also enjoying the pool. It was relatively hot this weekend, we spend Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the pool, thankful that we got a house with a pool.

Loving:

When Mr. brings me home a surprise bean and cheese burrito, and then saves his guacamole and sour cream from his food so I can enjoy it, that's love right there. He loves guacamole, but gives me his because it makes me insanely happy, and he knows my drive home makes me super tired.

Tuesday Talk: Let's Catch Up

Linking up with Ashley & Erika for...Tuesday Talk, where we get to talk about anything we want, hey I'm always up for talking about anything and everything.

I love a topic where we get to talk about anything and everything. This weekend was a blast, my Mother In Law came into town to help celebrate Mr. and it happened that the kids both had sports so she was able to catch both games. Of course the universe couldn't totally work out, and both kids games pretty much started at the same time. But we got her to both things, and she got to see them play, which made me happy.

Got a Kick out of this is a video of Mini Fox, the first kick off of the season, her very first time playing. The coach told her to stand right here, you know for the kick off...she took that literal and didn't move. It was the funniest thing ever! I can only imagine what it looked like live.

Happy about Spring, it's one of my favorite seasons of the year...mostly because we get lots of flowers blooming and pretty much always have something in the kitchen window.

We also get to start swimming...and this year I vow to get in the pool more.

Sad that my last allergy shot didn't go well...boo! I was on maintenance mode (meaning I only have to go in once a month, instead of twice a week), and I had a large reaction and now I have to go back to going a little more often...once a week, but still annoying as all get out.

This is about 10 hours after my shot and the itchiness lasted for about 10 days...not normal.  My other arm looked almost the same.

Happy that we've started going on double dates with people. We found a baby sitter we really like for when my parents can't help out and we're going out...woo hoo! We already have two more set up over the next few weeks.

A couple of weeks ago I was trying to get pictures of the kids in their Valentine's Day outfits (a little late, but needed to get it for the yearly calendar we give to the grandparents) and I have seriously never gotten so mad at Baby Fox. It was a rough day, then after that he was just being...arg! Sometimes this parenting thing is hard! See those two wet spots on Baby Fox's shirt? Yep where he wiped his tears...

Happy that I won't have to travel for work for a bit, at least I hope so, although I might have just jinxed myself...

Dreaming about going back to Utah to eat these donuts:

and see this view again:

Surprised that I still have 14 teams in out of 16 for my March Madness pick...how did that happen?

Annoyed at having to organize the messed up legos  sets...can I tell you how annoying it is to find one small round piece in that pile? At least Baby Fox and Elsa helped me a bit.

Grateful that this list contains more happy things then sad and unhappy things. What's been going on in your world?

Three Things I Can't Live Without...For My Birthday

Hello Foxy Friends! I'm linking up today with Andrea for her Tuesday Talk, but I thought I would turn it into a birthday edition since today is my birthday! :) I don't normally blog on my birthday, but I thought, hey why not?

Since it's broken down in threes, I thought I would do people, places and things...

Three People I can't live without...for my birthday

Well obviously my family. Yesterday was Baby Fox's first day of Kindergarten, sniff, sniff. Actually I didn't cry...almost did, but kept it together. I think if he had cried going into the classroom I would have lost it, but he was happy and smiling when he went in. So proud of him!

Three places I can't live without....for my birthday

Okay so that's a weird one. But let's say my house, I just love coming home, and this year Mr. and the kids have something up their sleeve. They keep teasing me about a surprise after I get home from work today, I can't wait to see what it is!

We usually go to dinner with my whole family for birthdays, I typically will pick Mexican food, so good! I would pick Chinese food, but we haven't found a good place out here. Actually we're trying a new Mexican place tonight, I hope it's good!

Last years birthday celebration.

Is it cool to say my couch? After dinner I really like going home and sitting on the couch and doing nothing but watch tv and probably eat cake and ice cream...again.

I mean who wouldn't want to sit on this couch?

Three Things I can't Live Without...for my birthday

You know there isn't much on my birthday list this year. I told Mr. that all of my gifts this year can be money to go towards my trip to Toronto to see The Blended Blog Ladies. I am so excited to meet all of them, and to hug each and every one of them, look out Toronto here we come!

Our Vegas trip from this past year. So much fun, so much so that the week we got back we started planning the next trip.

My camera to take pictures of my birthday, haha. Those are important right?

I guess my third thing would be my cell phone, I love getting all of the text messages and FB posts wishing me a happy birthday. Even if FB does remind you it's your birthday, it's still nice to be able to know that they took 2 seconds out of their day to wish you a happy birthday.

So there you have it three People, Places and Things I can't live without...for my birthday.

What is something you can't live without...on your birthday?

Show and Tell Tuesday - Show Us Your Costumes

Hello, happy Tuesday. Today I'm linking up with Andrea again for her Show and Tell Tuesday, this time she's asking us about past Halloween's. I've talked about them before, so click on the year to take you to the post, else I'll recap it for you.

I have to be honest with you, before kids, I just wasn't into Halloween...at all! Like never got dressed up, never went to parties, I just hated everything about it. Coming up with costumes, finding them, making them, everything about it. But now, kids are my game changer. After we had Baby Fox, our first Halloween I made our costumes! Ambitious I know.

2011

My mom showed me on the first one, and then I made the other two. For a first time costume sewer I think I did okay.

I worked during Baby Fox's naps and on weekends, 1.5 months later I got this:

I think I have a pretty fantastic husband willing to dress up as a bear for me.

2012

We found this cute Dragon Costume at Old Navy so we went as a dragon, a knight in shining armor and a princess.

2013

Again Old Navy for the win, we found the zebra costume and Baby Fox pretty much fell in love with it the minute he saw it. So we went with it. Mini Fox was only 7 weeks old and Old Navy had a cute little Monkey jacket, so we bought that and Mr. took one for the team and wore the bear costume again! I decided to go as a Park Ranger trying to tame her animals.

2014

Last year, again we let Baby Fox lead the way and he wanted to be Spiderman, so we went with it, and made Mini Fox Wonder Woman and Mr. and I were the bad guys. I actually tailored my own costume. I had to buy a men's one size fits all, and Mr. and I wanted the same stripes, so I seamed ripped the sleeves off, cut down the shoulder size and then sewed the sleeves back on. I was pretty proud of myself.

2015

Which brings us to this year...we haven't gone to any Halloween parties yet, but the kids did try on their costumes when they got here. This is them in theirs:

Can you guess what Mr. and I are going to be? This very well might be our last year doing a family theme, so we just bought our costumes and called it a day. You'll have to come back after Halloween to see what we were!
