Meet My People

Hi Foxy Friends!  I thought since I have some new foxy peeps around I would introduce my people. People you see frequently around these parts. Plus check out the other bloggers below and get to know some new people.

Mr.:

Well I just talked about Mr. yesterday, so go check out that post for more details. But he is the one that supports all the crazy ideas that I have and never once gives me the eye roll when for the 100th time ask for a picture.

Baby Fox:

The one that made me a mother. What can I say, he really was the perfect first child, NEVER cried, I mean never. Is super sensitive, so I have to watch my tone with him, because if he thinks you're mad at him, he will cry. Is the most loving and caring brother any sister could ask for and pretty much bends over backwards to do anything to make her stop crying. (Yes she does use this to her advantage sometimes). Loves baseball and soccer, learning, especially math, and is currently loving his trampoline class. He almost has a front flip.

Mini Fox:

What can I say, she enter this world, just like her personality, loud, in charge and knowing what she wants. She has the best imagination, can entertain herself for hours and loves to tell a good story. Loves her brother something fierce and always wants to do what he is doing. Loves her morning cuddles, was a super hard transition when he started going to school full time and didn't get her morning cuddles with him.

Parents and Siblings:

They are the best, I could not ask for a better extended family for my kids. I love that they live close enough to us that they are a constant in the kids lives and that they each have their own relationship with them. I don't know what we would do without them, helping us out all the time, taking the kids to and from activities. I love that my dad can drop off donuts on a random Wednesday just because.

Cousins:

Many of them are missing from our most recent get together, but I love that we are able, as adults, or organize ourselves and let our children be able to grow up like how we did when we were younger. Although we all live within a 100 mile radius, and sometimes it's not always easy to get together, we make it happen. Heck I see my cousin who lives 100 miles away probably more than I see some friends that live miles from me...

These kids, I love them so much! How much longer can we get them to wear matching PJ's? Forever? The oldest (farthest left) said the only reason he was wearing them was because Auntie Sarah bought them, you better believe I'm riding that Auntie train as long as possible, haha.

10 Memories With Mr.

Last year I participated with Erin for 10th on the 10th and she's continuing it this year, click here for those posts. Well this year she has come up with 12 new topic, the topic today is 10 memories with your spouse. Wow, so many memories, but I'll try, here I go:

ONE

When we met, I picked him up at a bar in Hollywood. Yep that's right, I talked to him first, we were both dating someone at the time, we broke up with said people soon after and the rest is history.

TWO

Our first date, was pretty much picture perfect. We went to Malibu, and sat on the sand and talked while watching the sunset, then we headed to Mimi's Cafe to eat dinner, followed by ice cream and walking around the most picture perfect park (think old fashion street lights and benches under tress). Really the most perfect first date.

THREE

When he surprised me with our honeymoon. He just told me that I needed a passport and some bathing suites. I had no idea where we were going, and he told me at church towards the end of the ceremony as we were watching everyone receive communion.

FOUR

Our trip to Italy and Switzerland. We knew that we wanted to take one more big trip before having kids. So we took 3 weeks off and went with some really good friends. So many great memories, and I can't wait to take the kids one year.

Throwing coins into Trevi Fountain.

FIVE

Hiking Half Dome. I saw a picture of it in someone's cube and I asked what it was, they said Half Dome and I immediately Googled, and then emailed Mr. and said hey want to hike Half Dome...he immediately said yes, without evening knowing what it was, despite having knee surgery 7 weeks prior he hiked it with me, and it was such an amazing experience.

SIX

Buying our first house together, we found out our offer got accepted on our drive home from hiking Half Dome.

SEVEN

After having kids it's hard to get away, just the two of us. I really cherish those times to reconnect and visit our old stomping grounds, when we were two people who on a whim would go to Santa Barbara or San Luis Obispo the following weekend, just because. I love that we could do that, and that we still try to do that, although it takes a lot more planning then thinking about it 1 day prior to leaving, haha!

Visiting the elephant seals in Cambria

EIGHT

Having Baby Fox, what a surreal moment, one moment you are just two people in love and the next you bring this human into the world who is completely reliant on you. Wow, we just stared and him and cried and had no words.

NINE

Of course the mega fast birth of Mini Fox, wow. I love hearing Mr.'s version of events, and the fact that Mr. knows me well enough that I was going to have this baby fast and lie to the hospital (of how long my contractions had been going on) so that they would tell us we could come in. 1 hour later...she was here.

One of the more recent ones is watching the sunrise at the Grand Canyon with the kids. I love that the kids wanted to go and we loved sharing that experience with them.

Here are the other topics in case you want to join in.

Friday Favorites #150

Happy Friday Foxy Friends! We're headed to the mountains as you're reading this. It's pretty warm up there, but we're going to make the best of it. We were hoping to get Baby Fox into his first ski lesson, but it's going to be 54°F, with a lot of fake snow. So we'll have to wait on that lesson.

This week on the blog:

Monday: TBB Asks - February Edition
Wednesday: Valentine's Day Look
Thursday: Seattle Shopping Haul

Going to start with Thursday, I took the kids to Target after work. I can't even remember why we were going...oh wait, yes I do. Haha, my cousin sent me a picture and said...hey look what I found:

So of course I had to hop foot over to Target to see if I can find them for myself. And I did, and they are awesome! Worth the trip to Target. But before going into Target Mini Fox saw the circle and said, Mama take my picture.

Friday we celebrated my Mom's birthday. Her actual birthday was on Sunday, but we were going to a cousin party for Super Bowl, so we did a Friday thing instead. We ordered in Ribs and ate at home, per the birthday girl instructions. And she wanted chocolate with chocolate cupcakes.

My mother in Law came to visit this past weekend and I got NO pictures. Oops. It was a short trip. Sunday we headed to my cousins house for Super Bowl and the kids had a blast!

Remember when I told you we got a Sous Vide? Well I wanted to try and recreate the Starbucks Egg Bites, which Mr. says is pretty darn close. Although we needed to add a TON more cheese, but it was pretty darn close!

The kids are having a blast with Mr.'s Christmas gift, the hover board. They are really good at it too.

Cara from Kindly Unspoken, but together a fantstic guide to make up brushes. If you are confused as to what does what, take a look at this article. This is just the first of her beauty series, so excited to read the rest of them, Cara's make-up is always on point.

The Ultimate Makeup Brush Buying Guide- The Brushes You Really Need And How to Use Them!

If you need a good laugh. I can't even imagine having to use this sort of lift when I first started Snowboarding, I feel like the regular chair lift was hard! But this made me laugh so hard.

I just love when these two do a car musical. They are always so dang good!

And they posted bloopers, love it

Happy weekend! Hope you get to spend lots of time with your family and friends! See you Monday!
