Perfect Valentine's Day Outfit

Hi Foxy Friends! What? Another outfit post. I actually ended up wearing this outfit for Christmas dinner, but I think it would also be the perfect Valentine's Day outfit. I love that you can either make this for warmer weather or add some tights and a jacket (see below) for colder weather. Granted it is about 52°F here at night, so not as cold as some of you out there, but it works perfect for here!

Skirt (comes in 27 colors) / Tank (Similar) / Boots / Necklace (similar here and here)

I just love the way the polka dots look with the red skirt. You could also wear some strappy heels like these.

If you live in a climate that is cooler, then I would definitely add some tights and this fuzzy jacket. The most comfortable and warmest jacket. Although I'm speaking from a 52°F point...haha!

Seriously this jacket just feels like a warm hug, for about $100 I think it gives you a big bang for your buck. A great piece to add to your wardrobe. How many times have you been all dressed up with no nice jacket to wear with it. This is your answer!

Are you the type to go out for Valentine's Day or stay in? We're headed to Canada to visit some friends that weekend and we're so excited! So no dressing up for us, but we're going to have a ton of fun!

Family Photos 2019

Hi Foxy Friends! Instead of a Friday Favorites, I thought I would share our family photos we took for our Christmas cards. I just LOVE how they turned out...not sure how we are going to get better pictures next year! Anyway, here's a big photo dump for you. In case you were wondering these pictures were taken at Chapman University and the Orange Circle, which is walking distance from Chapman. Be prepared for a big photo dump.

Edited to add: Finally found a dress that is really similar to my dress! Click here for that link.

In case you were wondering, which you probably aren't we did these pictures on a Saturday morning at 8am. Since we took the pictures so early, no one was on the University campus and not many places were open yet in the surrounding areas. So it worked out perfect. It was funny walking in full formal wear at 8am. We got a lot of smiles though. Until next year!

Now, how to I find a better location and outfits for next year, any ideas for unique ideas?

Jumpsuit Transition From Casual to Dressy

Hi Foxy Friends! Who am I doing an outfit post?! But I got this jumper a while back and wanted to style it for you, although it's no longer for sale, I did find a few options that are super cute that work too to get the same look.

I really wish this jumpsuit was still in stock, it's so cute, and can be dressed up or down. I've dressed it down with some tennis shoes, but it would be so easy to add a black blazer and some heels to go out with friends.

Jumpsuit (similar, sort of) / Shoes / Earrings

I love that it has pockets.

And has this cute stripe down the side, so dang adorable.

I paired it with easy jewelry, I was going to a 3 year old birthday party.

Anyway, I love a jumpsuit that you can dress up or down. The camo jumpsuit fits that bill. I wore it with sparkly tennis shoes, but I could have just as easily dressed it up with a black blazer and some booties, or heels. I think I have 4 jumpsuits in my closet right now...can't have too many can you? I've decided nope, and I know the whole going to the bathroom thing is a pain, but it's super cute...take for example this jumpsuit...has this super cute racerback...but it has a zipper and once I got it down, I realized I couldn't zip it back up...had to go back to the table with my hair down to cover the fact that I was half dressed, oops!

Some other options for jumpsuits that can be dressed up or down:

This one is super cute.

I love the pattern on this one.

Here's how you could style this one for both the Spring and Summer months

Spring/Dressed Up: Jumper / Black Blazer / Booties/ Necklace
Summer/Dressed Down: Jumper / Shoes

How To Make A Wreath For Your Kitchen Cabinets

Hi Foxy Friends! I know it's a little late, but I figure better late than never right? I filmed this tutorial over a year ago, but didn't get around to editing it, so here it is now, two months late, oops! I just love how they turn out and I'm so sad when I have to take them down. Currently I have yet to take them down. I figure, it's red, sort of goes with Valentine's Day...so up it stays for a few more weeks.

Here are the things you're going to need:

Grapevine Wreath (the large cabinets have 8" and the smaller cabinets have 6")
Ribbon (I used 2.5 inch, wired ribbon)
Command hooks (I used these, but these work too)
Glue Gun
Sissors

What To Do:

For those of you that like videos, here is the video I made, else I have step by step instructions for those that like to read about it.

Step 1 - Apply hooks to cabinets, needs to be applied at least an hour before you hang anything.

Step 2 - Make bow for wreath seen in the video below.

Step 3 - Glue straight ribbon around the wreath, this is a cheat way, so that we get the perfect looking bows.

Step 4 - Glue to bow to the wreath

Step 5 - Tie knot and attach to cabinet

Completed look!

I might be obsessed with putting wreaths on things. I also did this on my French Doors...eventually these wreaths will be moved to the kitchen, but for now I'm going to enjoy having all the wreaths.

Anyone else on the wreath train with me?
